Get Rid Of Planters Warts For Good!

A Plantar Wart can be extremely painful, seem to appear out of no where and be frustratingly difficult to get rid of.

Many people choose to visit their doctor for traditional, although often painful and invasive methods to remove these nasty warts. Unfortunately many experience the plantars wart resurfacing once again, stubborn and painful.

Others choose home remedies for relief from plantars warts and often times find success in one of these methods.

The purpose here is to offer some home remedies that have been successful for others, particularly one that was successful in my household after several other popular home remedies failed.

Bee Propolis

To Treat Plantar Warts

Highly touted for it's vast array of healing properties, this all natural substance produced by Honey Bees to protect the hive has been successful in curing plantar warts for some.

Make sure you purchase the extract (as shown below) and not the capsules. Simply apply this sticky, pasty substance to the wart and allow to dry. You can use a hair dryer to speed the process if desired. Cover with a bandage or gauze and tape. When we first started using bee propolis we saw some rapid progress, but then the growth of the wart took over.

Many others have said that bee propolis worked extremely well for plantar warts. Healing times will vary and like in our case, was not successful even though we still use Bee Propolis for a host of other applications with great success.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This method has been used with success by some sufferers of plantar warts.

Simply soak the affected area 20 to 30 minutes per day in Apple Cider Vinegar. Then soak an appropriately sized piece of gauze in ACV and tape to the wart, preferably before bedtime so the bandage remains in place.

Healing times vary according to each individual case and for some, this method is ineffective.

We successfully use ACV for a plethora of applications and did try it on my husbands plantar wart, but sadly with limited success.

Duct Tape

Curing plantars warts with duct tape has been successfully accomplished by many who suffer from these warts. We tried it and had some success, particularly when we applied Tea Tree Oil and then covered the wart with duct tape.

Unfortunately, the wart came back, resurfacing in the form of several new warts, bigger and badder than ever. This was tremendously discouraging after fighting the one big wart for so very long and thinking we had finally won the battle.

However this is just our story. Many others have seen success with using duct tape to remove a plantars wart.

Finger Nail Polish

Some people have claimed that by using finger nail polish to smother the plantar wart, it begins to fade away after a time, eventually going away.

We didn't try this method, so can't speak from experience, but others have seen success with using finger nail polish to remove a plantar wart.

Our Personal Plantar Wart Experience

I am happy to say that other than a mild and brief experience with a plantar wart in middle school many, many years ago, I've not been afflicted by this villain.

Unfortunately, my husband can't say the same. He suffered from a PW for five or six months. He describes the pain as excruciating and from what I observed from him, he wasn't embellishing one bit. He had a PW on the heal of his foot that grew to about the size of quarter. Never one to run to the doctor, we began trying different over the counter treatments and quickly abandoned those for a variety of home remedies.

After several different attempts at killing the wart, he was finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel by using the Duct Tape method along with a poultice of Tea Tree Oil and baking soda. The pain was all but gone and the wart was beginning to subside.

Just when he was beginning to feel he had turned the corner, out of nowhere five new warts appeared to the left and the right of the original wart. He claimed the pain was much worse with these new wart and from his discomfort and facial expressions, it was obvious he was in agony. I almost cried just by watching him. He was just beginning a badly needed vacation and had planned to take it easy and relax for that week. Instead he was miserable. Not only was the pain making his life challenging, just thinking about the set back of more warts was enough to send anyone over the edge.

After a few days of misery, I got to thinking about new cures to try. He really didn't want to visit a doctor and suffer invasive methods that might or might not work. That's when a light bulb went off about using essential oils synergistically. I remembered reading that when you combine the appropriate essential oils together, their properties draw off each others strengths to become more powerful and effective.

I felt we had nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying this so I came up with the following blend. The relief from the pain, according to my husband was immediate. Within a week the warts began to shrink, the pain was gone and the dead skin began to peel off bringing out new healthy skin. After two weeks, the area where multiple warts had previously resided was a non issue, but we still applied the synergistic blend each night before bedtime. We were a little apprehensive about a recurrence after the last episode so we continued to apply the blend for a total of eight weeks. Finally after almost six months we were relieved and elated to say no more plantar warts!

Banana Peel

Here's another home remedy I've heard of, but not tried. Take a banana peel and apply it to the plantar wart. If necessary, tape it to the affected area.

You can also try using a potato instead of the banana peel.

Others have seen success with both of these methods.

I've had plantars warts for over 20 years, first 1 on one foot, then 2 on the one foot. after years of trying every remedy around, I decided on the surgery to remove them. The doctor cut all the way to the other side of my foot to remove the inch long roots.... 3 months later they came back, as well as a new one on my other foot. The warts are a virus, so in my opinion its the virus that needs to be attacked rather than the wart itself... Note: with "young" plantar warts, banana skin will work, it worked for my daughter and she never got another wart after that... its also a selective little bugger with all members of my family sharing my shower etc., and myself the only one in the last 15 years to have them... (after getting rid of my daughters one when she was a child)... I will try the remedy recommended on this page... may as well.... I cant walk most days and the hobbling around for many years has put my back and spine out so I have back and neck pain... I can only wear slippers, or flat riversoft shoes (highly recommended for planar wart sufferers)... very very sad and frustrated plantar wart sufferer.. Tracey, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia

My 8 year old daughter is suffering from 8 of them on her little feet. Two huge ones are up underneath her toenails and causing them to either fall off or grow funny. We have tried everything, even doctors and nothing is working. She wants to be able to wear cute shoes, flip flops, etc for summer. HOW CAN I GET OR ORDER SOME OF THE Essentially Gone????? Thanks

Well, I have had two bad plantar warts on my left foot for about 4 years. Sometimes the pain from them is so intense, I can hardly put my foot down on the floor.

What have I tried? What HAVEN'T I tried? Everything seemed to help a bit, but they are still bothering me. I have used the duct tape remedy, the banana peel, castor oil, frankincense oil, baking soda, apple cider vinegar, nail polish, soaking and cutting, tea tree oil, garlic cloves, and several other things that seemed to help others.

Right now, I am using vetiver oil that I purchased from a company. It seems to be helping a lot, although I do not see any references to it, online. I just had some, that I bought for my husband, to rub on his legs at night.

I believe I shall have to get some of your "Essentially Gone", as these are stubborn, and painful. One other remedy, that is highly touted, is to used powdered ascorbic acid - Vitamin C - but, I have not tried that yet.

Great lens, and will have to stop back after using your oil, and give you the results!

excellent lens!! thank you! when i was a teenager i had three plantar warts on my right foot and two on my left. talk about pain. it was like i was walking on sharp pebbles but denial kept me from telling anyone. eventually i had them frozen off by the doctor and THAT WAS THE WORST pain in my life. he was digging in them and i hated it. i will never go to the Dr. for a plantar wart again... IF i ever get it again. i am bookmarking your lens for if and when that does happen again [let's hope not].....and maybe the ACV [i am a big fan] will work if i catch it early enough.

Years ago, when I was growing up, my sister had a wart on the side of a finger along the nail. My Dad told her to cover the wart with nail polish, wrap black electrical tape around the finger and then put nail polish on the outside of the tape and leave it a week. One week later, Shell removed the electrical tape and no more wart. I've never heard of it returning and this was about 35 years ago.
