How To Get Rid Of Stomach Fat

Why does exercise and weight loss have to be so darn tough!

I want to start off by saying that anyone can live the healthy lifestyle that they have always wanted. Let me re-emphasize that point. Yes I said ANYONE. I realize each of you have your own ideas and thought patterns regarding what a healthy lifestyle is, but in the end I believe it is something that makes you feel better about yourself and empowers you to become a better person!

Exercise and weight loss to me go hand in hand. Yes, I know you can lose weight by going on a diet, but studies show that diets alone do not work. By eating healthy and living actively, one can indeed start to lose those extra pounds.

For something that seems so easy, why is it so hard to start and and even harder to maintain? It all comes down to Motivation. If we can motivate ourselves, we can do anything. I hope this sites helps do that for you.

Motivation.....Does Anyone Have Some For Sale?

How to get rid of stomach fat

I Know I Can!

Before you can reach your weight loss goals (or any goals for that matter), you need to get motivated. In my opinion, getting and staying motivated is the number one reason why people are unable to lose that extra weight, take the dog for a walk, or ......."insert any of your reasons here"....

What is Motivation?

Motivation is not a physical thing but merely a state of mind. You have to come up with a big enough "WHY" for your goals before you will be able to get and stay motivated.

Does your "WHY" have to be Complicated?

In a few words.....absolutely not! Don't get me wrong, in some circumstances it may be difficult to find the right WHY for you but when you do find it you will have succeeded where 99% of others gave up. In my case, my WHY for living an active lifestyle is because I simply want to stay healthy and I love the feeling I get post workout. I thrive on challenge!

For all those that are having a difficult time keeping to your fitness goals, remember the workout is the easy part, finding your WHY is a bit harder but well worth the extra effort.

Good Luck!

Drink This During Your Workouts And You'll Live Forever!

How To Get Rid Of Stomach Fat

I have a bit of advice for all those individuals that are currently not consuming water while they work out. Stop doing that immediately! On the surface, I cannot disagree with most people's reasons. Yes, water may seem blah, boring, you name it so where is the benefit to you and the body? Forget about everything you always thought you knew about water. The only fact that you need to know going forward is that water is literally liquid gold before, during and after your workout. You have probably spent a considerable time listening to people tell you how to get rid of stomach fat or maybe you think that you have found 'THE RIGHT" workouts for bulking up. It's just a plain simple fact though that if you do not consume enough water during your workout, you will be under performing to your potential. Let's move on then to the reasons why you should be drinking that water during your workouts.

Water Basics

There are a lot of different percentages being reported with respect to how much of your bodyweight is composed of water. Obviously the number one reason for this is that every body type is unique and will thus hold a correspondingly different quantity of water. So as an example, the more lean muscle a person has, the higher their body water percent. The reason is simple; lean muscle is able to hold and absorb more water than fat. So for the average person, approximately 60% of the bodyweight is composed of water (fairly substantial huh).

Why Should We Place So Much Importance On Water?

We are focussed on water consumption because your body is constantly eliminating water at a pretty significant rate through such functions as breathing, sweating and when you use the washroom. What happens then when more water is eliminated from the body than you can replace? One word; dehydration. You want to avoid becoming dehydrated at all costs because this lack of water will lead to other more serious conditions that could potentially leave you very sick. As a rule of thumb, if you lose more than 10% of your body weight in fluids, you have now joined the ranks of being dehydrated.

Now, the thing to remember here is that this value is for the everyday person that is not really engaged in high tempo activities or exercise. So let's now talk about athletic dehydration. If you are one of those people who are trying to lose weight by exercising or just training for the challenge of it all, then this type of dehydration can actually set in at a fluid loss of only 1-2%. At this level, performance starts to decrease, your body starts to rob you of energy and you start feeling tired. Trying to finish a hard workout while experiencing this makes for a difficult and in some cases an unpleasant time. One other thing to note for the athletic person is that water helps to lubricate your joints, which will then help you prevent injuries and setbacks.

Are There Any Options?

In regards to drinking water, I am going to argue that one it's possibly perceived negative qualities could in fact be turned around and used as a positive property. I'm talking about its taste. So with respect to water's taste or flavour, I really struggle to believe that some individuals can say that they do not like to drink it because they don't like its flavour. Heck, we've already shown that it doesn't really have any flavour to dislike. Let's discuss some of the things that you can do to reduce the chances of running into athletic dehydration during your workouts.

- Drink 1 to 2 cups of water within 1-2 hours of your training session.

- Absolutely have water present, and use it during your training session.

- For all those that are training extra hard or for a longer period of time, you may want to mix in some sodium with your water. This helps replace the salts that your body is expelling through sweat. A sports drink may even be the better choice during these types of workouts. These drinks come pre-mixed with the sodium that you need for replacement.

- Once your workout is over, remember that your body is still working so keep drinking your water.

- Of course I don't have to ask if you are stretching after your workouts, right? This is yet another reason for drinking that water. It will help your body flush out and remove the toxins that you have produced during your training and as a result of stretching.

So that is your Water 101 lesson for the day. Water is such a simple liquid but the importance of it to our bodies cannot be under-estimated. Just remember that it is irrelevant whether you are an avid cyclist or just an average person looking for ways to lose weight by exercising. Drink water regularly, keep it with you and I can guarantee that your body will thank you. Good luck and work hard!

I Thought I Could Succeed Without These - I Was Wrong

how to get rid of stomach fat

If you are anything like me you like to set goals for yourself. Many times people feel bad that they never reached their original target. For many, one goal was to improve their physique. They decide that to become fit, they need to drop some excess flab.

People tend to undervalue themselves in self assessments. They perceive themselves based on their evaluations of others, which is an imperfect way to judge. Many people don't realize that comparisons do not account for the diverse factors that play a role in the state of our bodies. If you too have made physical health a personal aspiration, then this article will offer tips and information to encourage you toward that target. Below is the top 5 points that supported my motivation when I was trying to figure out how to get rid of stomach fat. Let's get down to it.

Top 5 List

Here is the list of things that kept me motivated while realizing my weight loss goals. There is no categorization in the following list.

1. Write in a small notebook every day. This is empowering because you can see results when you review it often. The journal details of your fitness regime would incorporate:
a. Name the exercises
b. How long was each exercise
c. The amount of weight, if using any
d. What hours you worked out in
e. Describe your feelings
f. Enter your meals and snacks for the day to help you correlate the foods that make you feel good.

2. Create objectives - this is incredibly important! If you want change, you have to know what change you want. It is important to write down your goals as re-reading them is a great reminder of what you want to accomplish. Don't make the mistake that most people do when they set goals. They put the objective out of their mind, then later have to create the whole thing over when they remember their original desire. Goals will keep you on track.

3. Exercise with someone you know. Having a plan will increase your success. If I did not have one, I would be coming up with every excuse in the book to skip my workout. Yes, everyone is busy, and tired, and all the rest of the excuses that we can use. Knowing someone else is depending on our help to achieve their goals will make us want to show up.

4. Tell as many people as possible - This one is a great motivator because it holds you accountable. Describe the new get rid of stomach fat fast strategy you will be using. You can be guaranteed that they will ask you the next time they see you how things are going. Because we like to be thought of as a winner, the motivation to keep going is very strong.

5. Choose some incentives. These will help keep you motivated and out of the 'daily grind' attitude. We tend to listen to our own complaints of 'it's too difficult' or 'there's so much to do'. Incorporating your workouts everyday will improve your life and will become something you anticipate. The excitement of 'winning' your awards can push you forward in a positive way. Everyone will have a variety of incentives that will differ from each other. Examples of rewards could be a favourite dessert or a special date night. Give yourself the gift once you have done the routine for the entire week. Whatever the incentive, it is not significant as long as it works to keep you going.

All of these 5 points will help you to keep moving toward achieving a healthy body. Following these will improve your chance at success and gain the health you have been wanting. These tips will help you when trying to figure out ways to lose weight by exercising. Now that you have some know-how, I wish you all the best! Have fun!

Fasting Will Save Your Life!

Get rid of stomach fat

So yes I said the bad word.....Fasting!

Mention it to most people and they immediately turn their eyebrows up and start picturing people in leotards on the top of a mountain doing yoga. While this may not be a bad thing, fasting is an extremely powerful weight loss tool that you can use to help you reach those weight loss goals.

Fasting Better Defined
So as most people know, fasting is merely taking food out of your diet or giving your body a break from food for a certain period of time. What if I were to tell you that you could go on a Fast one day a week, 2 days, 3 days whatever the amount and still be able to eat at least one meal per day.

I'm talking about what is called an Intermittent 24 hr Fast. As the term states you are fasting but for only 24 hours at a time. If you want to start it at supper time on day 1, you would not eat anything until supper time of day 2. This is a very powerful way to reduce your calories but it also allows you to maintain your energy levels. There are very few of us that can go without food for extended periods of time. Another of the great things about this Fast is that you can still keep your workout routine schedule intact.

Rid Yourself of Stomach Fat With Body Weight Exercises

Lose weight by exercising

Great Bodyweight Exercises!Let me start off by saying that I love bodyweight exercises! Why you might ask..... For me, bodyweight exercises take away all my ability for excuses when I go to work out. I don't have to have a gym membership or even have a bunch of expensive weight lifting products. Just me and good ol' gravity and the fact that all I need to do is hop on down to my basement and get rolling. You see I use my basement location as my way trying to eliminate the "I don't have time to go to the gym" excuse". It really works!

You can make your workouts as simple or as complicated as you want. Push-ups accompanied by pull-ups are in my opinion, two of the best exercises that you can do. Again they are simple, yet extremely effective. You can also modify each type to make them harder or easier! For push-ups, make them easier by having your knees down instead of your feet or stand on a chair while you do your pull-ups. You can use your legs as little or as much you need to, to help you get in some extra pull-ups. Some really effective bodyweight programs can be found here:

I like working out at home because it's easier to motivate myself to do it because I don't have to get in the car and drive somewhere. And there's no monthly fee!
