How to Get Votes in Online Contests

How do I get people to vote for me?
Have you entered a contest and now you need friends and family to vote for you in order to win? Do you need people to "LIKE" your photo in a photo contest? There are lots of things you can do to get contest votes. All you need to do is read all these tips and tricks and you'll be well on your way to winning a voting contest. Good luck!
15 Ways to Get Contest Votes
- 1Post to your Facebook account about the contest and remember to thank everyone who comments that they voted for you.
- 2Start a Twitter account (if you don't have one already) and tweet about your contest. For even more votes, search for others asking for vote requests, follow them and tweet to them that you voted (and don't lie about this).
- 3Post your vote request on other social networks such as Google+, MySpace, LiveJournal, Tumblr, etc.
- 4Send out an email to everyone in your address book about the contest. Again, remember to thank them for voting.
- 5Create a video about WHY you want or need to win this contest. Post it on YouTube as well as on all the social networking websites you posted on before.
- 6Create a webpage or blog about your vote request. I would suggest creating your page on Weebly or your blog on Tumblr, Blogger or Wordpress. Make the page bright and happy.
- 7Put your vote request in the signature line on a forum you frequent. The forum doesn't have to be related to contests. Just make sure you check the forum rules first.
- 8Post on a Question and Answer site like Yahoo Answers or Mahalo Answers. Don't ask "can you vote for me?" because that can get you banned from the website. Be sneaky and ask "How can I get more votes in this contest?" and post the link.
- 9Create a Facebook Group about your vote request and invite all your friends. Ask them to invite their friends and so on. Use the power of social networking to your advantage.
- 10If you play Facebook games like Farmville or Sims Social, send gifts to your neighbors and include a message about your contest.
- 11Create a Squidoo lens with your vote request. Tell everyone why you deserve to win, how happy it would make you, why you need the prize, etc.
- 12Do a google search for blogs, websites, youtube videos, etc from people who need contest votes. Vote for them and then add a comment about your contest vote request.
- 13Add a comment to this Squidoo lens.
- 14Add your request to a vote request website.
- 15Add your request to a Facebook vote exchange page.

Remember to check the contest rules. Some contests don't allow you to post on vote exchange groups or trade votes in any manner. In those cases, just try all the other tips found on this lens.

Facebook Vote Request Pages

- No rules, just post your link and vote on a few other posts.

- i entered my husband in a "hot dad" contest and thought since he is deployed it would be really neat if he won. please vote for him. he is so awesome and really deserves another reason to smile.
