They get higher pay, attract more women, have higher self-esteem, gain more attention in a party, and more likely to be in a leading position. And you are right! Your above observation of the brutal fact is supported by several researches around the world. But the point is, then, can we grow taller even after the growing age? If so, is that natural? And more importantly, shall we even do it?

Tall Guys Earn More! - Rsearches confirm the brutal fact.

A 6ft tall man can expect 1.5 per cent more than a workmate who is 5ft 10 ins Photo: GETTY Source: Telegraph.co.ukResearches show that the height of a person has a positive relationship to his income. This is especially true for men. According to a study by Australian National University economist, every five centimeters of height worth about A$950 per annul to the average man. A UK study reveals similar result: a 6ft tall man can expect 1.5 per cent more than a workmate who is 5ft 10 inches. (Telegraph, UK). An article written by Steven E. Landsburg of Slate magazine states that "If you're 6 feet tall, you probably earn about $6,000 more than the equally qualified 5-foot-6-inch shrimp down the hall"

Apart from higher income, the height of a person also relates to leadership. As in the case of USA, out from the 43 American presidents, only five were slightly below the norm at their times. Most presidents were above the average height with the five tallest being Abraham Lincoln, Lyndon Johnson, Bill Clinton, Thomas Jefferson, and Franklin Roosevelt.

Taller Has More In Everything?

A comparision of the body height of politcal leaders and see a cutlural difference. In our daily observation, women like taller men. Taller guys get well noticed in parties and functions. They are more likely to be received as richer and more successful. Also psychological researches indicate that the body height of a person has a direct impact to his/her self-image.

That means, the taller you are, the more income you get, the more choices you have for your partner and more self-confidence. But is this possible to increase height? And if so, how to grow taller naturally and safely?

Diet, nutrition and style of living contribute to the change of average body height. This is especially obvious in the case of Asians in the past 100 years. However for individuals, we generally believe that genetics is the major factor in determining the height of a person. And the common perception is that your body height cannot be changed when you already past the growing stage, which is usually around the age of 18-20. Is this the truth or just a myth?

You Current Body Height May Not Be Your Destiny

Some opinions suggest that it is absolutely possible for you to grow taller even after the growing age. And that is a scientific fact that the spine accounts for about 35 % of our current height. It means that fixing postural or spinal problems can result in a substantial increase in your height.
Several programs in the market provide step-by-step process on how to correct excessive curvatures of the spine that are genetically inherited or occur from daily habits - increasing your height by at least 2 - 4 inches.

It may make some sense, as we know people get "shorter" when they age. Depending on sex, genetic, and environmental factors, shrinkage of stature may begin in middle age in some individuals but is universal in the extremely aged. This decrease in height is due to such factors as decreased height of inter-vertebral discs because of desiccation, atrophy of soft tissues, and postural changes secondary to degenerative disease. So if the shrinkage is due to spine posture and health condition, can a reverse principle be applied for growing taller?

It's Just A Choice.

No, this is not what I mean to be taller. But your body height can just be a choice. While I was talking about the "how to", some people think it is more that. Rather, they believe it is a "should/should not" issue. Several comments I received expressed that one should increase his/her educational level, get more knowledge, improve oneself, develop self-confidence, work hard and gain money and respect by the 'real stuff". That means earn others' respect through his/her personalities and good quality rather that putting the energy to increase body height.

Well, I have no intention to turn this into an ethical issue. Usually this kind of debate does not come to an agreement as it really hooks up to your own value belief. But my point is, if there is something really natural and safe to increase body height. And if you are frustrated by your current height, whether for your career development, finding a relationship or simply for self-esteem, then it may worth your trying. It's just a choice!
When you choose whichever program, I would suggest you look for those include natural posture exercises and not just some eBooks. It is because you really need to have visual understanding of how to do the exercises correctly without hurting yourself. And what's more for maintaining correct posture, it is beneficial to your health after all.
