Juggling Is Fun
My first experience with juggling came when my future husband wanted to show me how he could juggle 3 eggs. He assured me that his roommate in college had taught him well. To my amazement, he did juggle 3 eggs for a few seconds until one egg splattered on the floor.
Step#1- Start with 3 scarves.
They are easy to toss and float slowly down. Finding the right rhythm is so much easier with this learning tool.
This starting point for children improves hand eye coordination as well as self-esteem and confidence.
Model the juggler below and copy his pattern.
Step #2- Buy three Nerf balls. They are round and won't break anything when they drop to the ground. Try a variety of different sized Nerf balls.
Step #3- Buy or make three small bean bags. Practice the same routine as you did with three scarves.
Step #4- Buy three tennis balls. Practice in the same pattern.
Step #5- Finally, get three golf balls. Practice this routine outside.
Practice five minutes a day and watch how fast your skills will improve.
As you gain more confidence try juggling eggs, Webkinz, oranges, beanie babies, lemons, apples, muffins, Lego characters or even bottled water.

- My SIL visited last weekend from out of town. She announced that she was teaching herself to juggle. For some reason I decided to join her and we spent many hours practising. One of the things we did was watch Jason's video (1st above) which I thought was totally awesome. I love the juggling graphic you have too (I'm a visual learner). I haven't mastered it yet. I'm still mastering 2 balls. I think both the cat and dog are afraid I will introduce the third ball too soon. Great lens.
