How to reduce weight? First thing first. A proper diet is not actually proper if you don't do workout. You can eat less but do remember that your body can have the mind of it's own. Once your body detected that you eating lesser than before, it will adjust the metabolism so that you burn less calories than before. There goes one not so good strategy to reduce your weight. Therefore if you are thinking about cutting down your meal, think again. The tip is to burn more calories instead. Example you can jog, walk or any kind of exercise 20-30 minutes, 3-4 times a week. Eat normal but burn more calories
Do you have that kinda gut?
Our gut is directly proportional to our health. A good gut ensures that the food we consumes is effectively digested into our system. Good stuffs are absorbed & bad things are rejected. In order to ensure that these two are correctly done, that's when dietary fibre comes in.
SOLUBLE FIBRE
This kind of fibre absorbs water in out intestine & helps soften the waste. It is also thought that it binds the cholesterol in the food from being absorb by the intestine into our body.
Sources include fruits, vegetables, oats, beans & oatmeal.
INSOLUBLE FIBRE
Insoluble fibre helps our intestine to grow a certain type of friendly bacteria that softens further the waste & assist the passing of waste out of our body as stool. Since it gets easier & smoother for the waste to go out, toxins doesn't build up in the system.
Among sources of insoluble fibre are grain cereals, brown rice, vegetables & nuts.
Just a tip from one my friends saying that if you like to eat fruits & vegetables, ensure you eat it before you eat the main course. i.e. dietary fibre should be taken before having your meal. But if you dont like the hassle of eating fruits becomes they are just too big, there are lotsa health products out there that provides fibres in the form tablets that can be swallowed/chewed before taking your meal. My choice is the latter since its quite easier to carry tablets around if I am eating outside.
Going back to the topic, intestines are also called the gut. Some saying that a good health comes from a good gut. Do you have that kinda gut? If you don't do you want to?

Little Guys in Your Gut
Basically everybody has bacterias in their gut. There are good ones and bad ones. The bad ones make you sick. The good one helps you to digest and absorb nutrients better. So what are the stuff that helps balance the good bacteria in your system? These are called probiotic & prebiotic .
PROBIOTICS
These are the healthy bacteria found in your gut. They include the Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillis. Eating food that contains this guys (e.g. yogurt) helps adding more healthy bacteria into your digestive system.
PREBIOTICS
Prebiotics are like supplements to probiotics. They help to keep the probiotics healthy & therefore nourishes them. They mainly originates from carbohydrate fibers. Since fibers is non-digestive, it will travel through the digestive system till it reaches the gut. Over there the probiotics feed on the prebiotics so good bacteria stays healthy. Sources of the fiber include fruits & whole grains.

Our physical body like it or not is 75% water which means that it is a vital component of us. Without water, the cells & vital organs cannot function. We will start to slowly shut down. Therefore ensure that we drink enough amount of water daily.
Experts recommend drinking 8 glasses of water everyday. It helps getting rid of the toxins every day and believe it or it also assist in weight loss. My friend once said if we are hungry try drinking water first. If it helps, then meaning that we are actually thirsty rather than hungry. It's just sometimes we tend to confuse between hunger and thirst. Do ensure your source of water is clean. It doesn't make any good if the source is tainted.
Remember to drink water after doing workouts. This is to replace back the water in your body that was secreted out via sweating.
