Types of Dog The BullMastiff

The mastiff is a large breed of dog. But I am so cute and not dangerous at all. When people ask my mum or family what kind of dog I am they don't say a Bull Mastiff, they just say a Mastiff. It is funny how people have already made up their minds about the Bull Breeds.
People aren't sure of me and they judge me by how I look, which is wrong! I am very calm and have a great temperment I was used to being around children.
I do know I look Scary, so I try extra hard to be good, I follow around my mums friends little boy to make sure he is safe because he has Autisim and is convinced I am a "peeig" I don't mind, I love Lewis and he loves me too.

New legislation proposes to replace the Dangerous Dogs Act with a new Dog Control Bill that will emphasise the animal's owner takes responsibility for their dog rather than simply penalising a dog for its breed.

According to Lord Redesdale, the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 was a reaction to high profile attacks and partly thanks to seeing these dogs as a status symbol or using as a weapon these irresponsible dog owners now pick bull breeds breeding them to be tough and leading to animal welfare concerns.This is what the papers say-
In my village my friends and other doggie owners all comment on what a wonderful dog I am, and then I smile :)

Mum Dad and Rebecca (she's my favourite) are all great, they let me away with murder, because I just put on my sad puppy dog eyes, and pin my ears back and get anything I want. (I learned that trick from Puss in Boots out of Shrek...haha...and they think I'm just a dog)

My mum and Dad had been looking for a puppy for Rebeccas' Christmas, now we all know that Dogs are for life not just for christmas, so they knew it was a big commitment, anyway my mum worked in a really cool, special school so she could actually take me with her to work!

I was born in November, and I was very tiny, what you would call the runt of the litter. Unbeknown to me the people who had me were very naughty and were selling us as Real Bull Mastiff pups, so when my mum and dad came to see me and my family, they were disappointed to find out I was not registered with the Kennel Club. Anyway, I heard the people selling me said "its' the runt that is left, if we don't get rid of it soon, it will need to go to the....I shut my ears at the rest, I snuggled up to the little girl as she looked really nice.

The next thing I knew I was being wrapped in a blanket and taken away from that horrible house, I didn't get to say goodbye to my mum as she had disappeared days before?

I was a little bit frightened, but so cozy and warm with the wee girl I soon fell fast asleep.

My new family picked my name because my new mum went to see Chicago for her Christmas present, and the main Character in it is called Roxie Hart. Mum loves that Musical and plays the Cd all the time, I like dancing with her too.
I can be quite cheeky too and yes I do get away with murder!?

When I was a puppy my mum and dad used the "crate training method" I was very hyper and as puppies are quite naughty chewing things, so the crate training enabled me to feel safe and have my own place to go, when mum had to go out for a few hours, it was not long though that the door would be left open all the time and I just went in and out when I wanted.
I liked my crate although when Molly came along mum and dad decided to put it away, as I would keep molly right in the house.

The picture here is of Roxy as a pup, growing mastiffs seem to outgrow their shape really quickly, and end up lanky and really funny looking, but this passess, as their head grows and catches up with their body!

Oh but when we saw the little beauty we coudl not say no! Welcome to our house our New British Bulldog Puppy as you see she is making herself at home and Roxy is really looking after her


I love my dogs, and I am very passionate about letting people know these dogs should NOT be taken in by any old house hold, their characters and personalities are very strong. You must be able and capable to look after them properly.

Roxy is a pretty hardy dog, even when she has had stomach problems, she usually is a little off colour for one day, I have a handy reference book that helps me see easily and clearly if I need to take her to the vet

Now Roxy will eat anything, really she does, and sometimes it does not agree with her stomach, straight back up it comes, now after several rather expensive visits to the Vets, the vets told me that Roxy was indeed okay,
but then I thought how do you know the I am being sick becasue I eat something I should not, from the I am being sick and need a vet right now?
