Your mind must be in focus to lose that fat. If you are not motivated you will merely fall at the first hurdle. All Doctors will tell you to eat less and exercise more, and this is a very easy solution to losing fat, provided you are capable focusing. Tummy tends to attract those fat cells quicker than any other part of the body especially for men, where it can be linked to heart complications and diabetes.

Setting a goal is important and visualizing yourself in front of the mirror seeing yourself minus the 'tummy fat'. How good would you feel looking at the new you? Good, Fabulous or Fantastic? How is the feeling that you have achieved something really beneficial for your health and ready to kick-start your next goal to maintain your body feels?

What reward would you give yourself, a new outfit? Seeing the fact that your cholesterol had been reduced? Or looks of admiration from the opposite sex or the thought of 'So that's what my feet looks like.'

Now, we have dealt with your motivation, let's consider the physical and diet requirements in order to make this happen. Doctors will tell you that 30 minutes, 3 times a week of strenuous exercise will keep you trim and fit. Eating a balanced diet containing proteins, good fats that is high in omega 3, vegetables, fruit and complex carbohydrates will assist you in fat loss and keep the tummy bulge at bay.

Doctors will also tell you it is better to prepare fresh food where possible cooking with minimum fat products such as cooking oil. Boil, grill or steam if possible, as this greatly reduces fat intake. Prepared foods that contain many additives, colorants, salt and hidden sugars in the form of carbohydrates can get you fat without you knowing it. Similarly, fast food contains vast amounts of corn syrup, sugars and salt so a sneaky burger and fries will add inches.

They will also tell you to eat regularly, breakfast being the most important, mainly to avoid those mid morning fatty snacks. Better to eat five times a day than two large meals with unhealthy snacks in between, this will get you nowhere in 9 days.
