Save Your Money!

Nowadays when the economy is not in its most stable phase and the prices are going up as the salaries are staying the same, is important to save our money for a rainy day as opposed to wasting it, not spending, WASTING it on things we think we have no control over. this time i will give you some useful tips on how to save electricity during the winter, and actually some of them applies to the summer as well. Let's begin:

How To Reduce Your Electric Bill? (And Save Money During The Winter)

brrr... it's cold...!

The winter is here, it's unbelievably cold, and we have to turn on the heat! It's impossible without it! Know what I mean?
Yes, we are no different then any other US citizen who has to turn the heat on in order to survive the winter. So the heat is on all day and then we get the electric bill and, what? How come it costs so much?! It's doesn't makes sense! Well.... it does. Having the heat on 24 hours a day is financially devastating and you can see it in your electric bill.

So how CAN we reduce the electric bill then? How to save some electricity during the winter? Here are some tips that will help you to survive the winter with a reasonable electric bill:

The Heat - it's true, we must warm up somehow during the winter but, a fan heater is cheaper, did you know? It's cheaper to use 2 fan heaters than using the central house heat! By the way, if you decide to turn on the heat anyway, keep in mind that the temperature has a DIRECT connection with the energy it drains. Actually, after using both, I found out that having a fireplace or, an inner stove is a lot better!

Cell Phone Chargers that are attached to electricity are still working even, if they are not attached to the cell phone. Plug them out!

TV and DVD - if your television is on "standby" and same is your DVD, they are draining power. If you want to stop it, unplug them as well and only plug them in while you're using them.

Your Computer - the computer uses a lot of energy while it's on, so make sure to turn it off when you're not using it.

If something doesn't works - it shouldn't be plugged into electricity!

If you find a device which you don't use and it's plugged to a socket, unplug it!

Remember to turn the lights offwhen you are going out, leaving the room and going to sleep... :)

Install a Solar Heater!

In my opinion, the best way to keep myself warm in the winter is simply, to dress up warmer!
