From the lens How to Make a Heavy Hula Hoop.

I'd love to hear from you. Did you find what you needed to make your own hula hoop? Can you suggest other sites I might want to include here? Especially any YouTube vids of people demo-ing how to make or tape a hoop.

I was looking for a way to make my own hula hoop and I got all caught up in hooping videos when I ran across this fun hooping flash mob: http://youtu.be/SBhkkjLEzb0. I'm just a beginner, so this is not something I can do, yet. When I can, I want to mob my own city!

Just curious...I made my own hoop for the first time, and I feel like it didn't come out perfectly round. As in, it's a bit oblong, not much, but enough that I can tell by looking at it that it's not quite right. Any ideas for what I might have done wrong?

I bought a hoop from www.Sweetshoppehoops.com. They will make any kind of hoop for you including fabric hoops. I was very happy with my order and shipping was really inexpensive. I bought a collaspible hoop and it was cheaper than a regular hoop.

Hi! I wanted to start hooping, and make my own hoop....but i am confused on what size irrigation tubing to get. I am 5'8'' about 125 lbs....I can hoop at the waist since I was a child, but would also like to learn some basic tricks. What would be the best size for me. I bought 100 psi 3/4'', but at the store I was debating 100 psi 1'', and then I get all confused because some people recommend 160 psi? I'm OVERWHELMED!!! and because you have to buy like 100 feet I would like to make sure I'm buying the right size for me :) Any suggestions? Tips?

Thank you for taking the time to help me!

I don't believe you have to buy it in 100 foot rolls. It comes in the 100 foot and you can by it by the foot.
