How to Make an App For iPhone

Some estimates say the iPhone apps market is making about $2.4 BILLION dollars a year!!! I recently read of a couple of developers who developed a game which has been downloaded over two million times in 2009. At a price of $0.99 a download and Apple sharing about 75% of the revenue that's almost $1.5 Million dollars.

The fact is I love programming, and just the idea of developing for iPhone got me excited, even if I do it for free apps. As I was digging deeper into the topic of how to make an app for iPhone I started learning that just learning Objective C isn't enough. You would need to learn Cocoa Touch which provides an abstraction layer to the iPhone OS, and that there's actually a special SDK made by Apple for developing apps.

As an experienced developer none of the above discouraged me. On the contrary, as a developer (I'm sure you feel the same way too) I love to new languages and technologies. But I when I learn new things clarity and organization is my number one rule. Looking around I found a great a development resource made by Matt Campbell.
