Making Money With Adsense

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, a great way to do it is through Adsense.

There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn money through their sites.

But some webmasters are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. ..  so why not you?

The Adsense Learning Headquarters

Learn From Others

The ones who have been there and done it have some useful tips to help those who would want to give it a go.

Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and continue to do so, as the principles are still relevant.

Here are 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings:

1. Concentrate on one format of Adsense ad

The format that tends to work well is the Large Rectangle (336 X 280).

This format tends to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates.

Why choose this format out of the many you can use?

Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people are used to clicking on links!

They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be to your advantage!

2. Create a custom palette for your ads

Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site.

For example, if your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background.

The idea is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web page.

Again, this will result in more clicks from your website visitors.

3. Put the Adsense ads at the top of pages on your site (instead of the bottom!)

Do not hide your Adsense. Put them in a place where people can easily notice them.

You will be amazed at the difference the position of your Adsense can make to your earnings!

Still put them at the bottom (because when people read to the bottom of your page they might be looking for where to go next!), but don't be afraid to put them at the top. There's no shame in AdSense on your website!

4. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (server side included).

(Tip: Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not.)

How do you do it?

Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as "adsense.txt", and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages.

This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

5. Focus on a Topic

It is important to know that ads are displayed because they fit the interest of the people viewing them. What ads display depend on the content of the page.

Focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the ads will be targeted better and match the interest of your visitor more than if you had ads on a general page with no focus.

(How I seriously boosted my AdSense earnings one day)

I got myself one of these things:

I found a thing called 'Dave's Cool Little Website'.

And it is very cool.

Basically, they will set up a website for me (and host it themselves) and I will earn money from loads of different places!

This is why they call it 'cool'.

My adsense ads are all over the site. So I earn money that way. And my clickbank links are there as well, so that pays REALLY well. And also the eBay referrals really add up.

To see the video I saw, check out the info page.

But here is how I earn money from this one site:

Google Adsense - My Cool Little Website is full of Google Adsense links. This little site has REALLY boosted my AdSense income.

Clickbank Affiliate Programs - My Clickbank ID is embedded into a clickbank directory, so people can find whatever product they want and I get something like $20 - $50!

eBay Auctions - My Cool Little Website lists live eBay auctions from all categories and the links have my affiliate ID in automatically, so eBay pay me a percentage of whatever sales they make. How cool is that?!

Also, check out the eBay misspelling tool. It's amazing!

All in all, I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with my cool little website, and it has really boosted my adsense earnings. You should give it a go.
