So you want to know How to Make Great Pom Poms? Here I list 4 differant and easy methods to make pom poms some really cute craft projects.

There are many ways and many different tools you can use to make your pom poms, from a round piece of cardboard, to a square scrap of matte board , even your own hands. However, after years of using many methods I must say that to make a perfect fail proof pom-pom I trust my favorite tool the Clover Pom Pom Maker. Yes the other methods are free and you get to recycle, as a proud tree huger I totally understand but the Clover usually sells for under $6.00 and since you don't need a lot of yarn to make pom poms they are one of the best uses for your scrap yarn. So cost and recycling are covered.

This is one of my favorite craft projects. They are cute all by them selves and once you add a pair of little googly eyes or ears, well your hooked

I don't want you to have to rely only on my opinion so I will show you the other mentioned methods for making pom poms and why I choose to continue using the Clover Pom Pom Maker.

A Perfect Pom Pom Everytime

Clover Pom Pom MakerThis is an inexpensive tool that can do so much for your pom pom craft project.

I have used the hand, the cardboard , the square matte and the Clover. I have been much happier using the Clover tool. The reason is simple: I have better control over the size and density of my Pom Poms.

They come in a variety of sizes but the Large just happens to be the one I use the most. You must keep in mind that the Pom Pom will be smaller then the tool. The completed Pom Pom needs to be trimmed so that you can have a nicely round circle?
