Bullet Style
I have always loved frozen fruit drinks but having to use the large blender for one drink was always a turn off. So I decided I would do some research. My research eventually led me to Canadian Tire where I purchased a Magic Bullet Platinum Pro. It doesn't look the same as the one on TV but it does the same job.
Unfortunately the recipe book that came with it had very little information about the smoothies I intended to make with it. What follows are the recipes that came out of many trials and errors. And the best ways to make them.
I hope you'll find one or more that appeal to your taste buds.
You Don't Need a Bullet
If you don't have a Bullet, don't worry, the recipes should work with your regular blending device.
Order is Important
Experience has taught me that the closer the ice to the blades the better they will be pulverized. So it is important that the ice cubes are the last thing added to the the cup.
NEW -- Red Wine Smoothie
1/2 cup red wine (I used Cabernet)2 teaspoons of sugar
1 banana
1 yogurt cup (fruit bottom, up to you if you want to use fruit or not, I don't)
1/2 cup frozen wild blueberries
6 ice cubes
1/2 cup cranberry cocktail
Guava & Chard Smoothie
1 banana
2 tablespoons of artificial sweetener
2 large green chard leaves, stems removed
6 to 8 ice cubes
Mocha Refresher
3 tsp splenda (or 2 tsp granulated sugar)
4 heaping teaspoons of Carnation Hot Chocolate
1 to 2 teaspoons of boiling water
Dissolve above ingredients in water before adding final items.
1 teaspoon skim milk powder
3/4 cup skim milk
1 banana (optional)
8 to 10 icecubes
The Original Infomercial That Sucked Me In
Kale and Pear Smoothie
1 pear (can, 2 halves)
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon skim milk powder
1 tablespoon sugar substitute
2 green kale leaves, center vein removed
6 to 8 ice cubes
Dessert in a Cup
Banana & Strawberry Smoothie
1 cup strawberries, frozen
2 kale leaves, main vein removed
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 cup orange juice
2 teaspoons sugar substitute
1/2 tablespoon skim milk powder
4 to 6 ice cubes
Pineapple Smoothie
1 1/2 slices of fresh pineapple, cut in large chunks
3/4 cup milk
splash of orange juice
8 to 10 ice cubes
Technique
Once cup is loaded, blade attached and cup has been attached to moter:
Pulse until ice broken into smaller pieces.
Blend 10 seconds.
Rest.
Blend 10 seconds.
Enjoy!
Simple Strawberry
1 banana
1 cup of orange juice
splash of milk

Magic Bullet Platinum Prom (same kind I have)
Raspberry Smoothie
3/4 cup milk
1 banana
2 tablespoons sugar substitute
Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie
3/4 cup strawberries, frozen
1/2 banana
1/3 cup yogurt
splash of milk
splash of orange juice
1 tablespoon sugar substitute
4 to 6 ice cubes
Peach and Raspberry Smoothie
1/4 cup raspberries
1/2 cup orange juice
6 to 8 ice cubes
Raspberry Vanilla Smoothie
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup raspberries, frozen
1/2 cup skim milk
4 to 6 ice cubes
Mango Sunshine
1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup orange juice
1 to 2 teaspoons of sugar substitute
Tip
If you are going to use fresh fruit instead of frozen then you will need to use more ice cubes.
Apple Banana Smoothies
1/2 cup yogurt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 banana
3/4 cup milk
4 to 6 ice cubes
Fullness
In some of the recipes the cup will seem really full but when you attach the blending device and turn the mug over you'll see you have a 1/2" leeway of space.
Sweet Strawberry
1 cup strawberries
1 teaspoon skim milk powder
2 teaspoons sugar substitute
1 cup of milk
Necessary Ingredients
Keep On Hand
- ice cubes
- bananas
- sweetener
- skim milk powder
- frozen strawberries (and other fruit)

- This really looks like a neat gadget. I watched the video and can see why you finally folded! The omelet and the muffins sort of reeled me in. I think I'll ask Santa for one :-).
