Spider Webs vs. Cob Webs

Is there is a difference?

I thought there was a difference between spider webs that are made by spiders and cob webs that are an accumulation of dust. When I researched this the definition surprised me.

Spider Webs are made by spiders, OK.... Cob Webs are spider webs that have been abandoned by spiders or broken webs that have not been repaired by spiders and that have accumulated dust.

Does that mean that all my cob webs were originally spider webs? I don't ever remember seeing any spider webs in the areas of my cob webs....Hmmmmm

How To Make Spder Webs

For The Crafters

For those who are crafty, you can make your own spider webs easily with saran wrap and a glue gun. Simply lay out the saran wrap out on a flat surface. Start in the middle and make a circle with the glue gun and work your way out towards the end of the saran wrap creating larger circles and connect the circles creating a spider web. Let dry and peel off the spider web and you have now created your own stick on spider web.

Thanks, the saran wrap works great and wax paper would work just as well.

I like your directions. That does seem simple enough. I probably would have used wax paper if you hadn't said sarah wrap. I will have to give this a try.
