I think the Grinch stole the Cookie from the Cookie Jar.

Squidoo HQ Official, rms, squidliked this lens and Squid Angels blessed this lens => Chocolate Cookie for the Cookie Monster in us.
My Recipe which I am presenting you is simple and different from the average Chocolate Cookie Recipe we know. The outcome is darker because of the added Cocoa Powder. Cocoa Powder is not used in ordinary Chocolate Cookie Recipes. My Cookies are tastier (I hope!). My sister contacted me thru Facebook since she noticed that I was still online. She mentioned about the Cookies she made. They were so sweet so I copied and pasted this Recipe and sent it to her and hopefully, my dear Family will have a good munch during the Holidays.
When we were young, we played this game, Who stole the Cookie from the Cookie Jar? Who me? Yes, You! Not Me! Then Who?

Choco Oatmeal Cookies
- Serves: 40
- Prep Time: 45 minutes
- Total Time: 2 hours
Ingredients
- 100 Grams of soft Butter
- 70 Grams of brown Sugar
- 80 Grams of normal Sugar
- 1 Pack of Vanilla Sugar if available. If not
- 1 - 2 drops of Vanilla Extract
- 1 whole Egg
- 125 Grams of Flour
- 15 Grams of Cocoa powder
- 1 Tbsp. of Baking Powder
- ½ Tbsp. of Baking Soda
- ½ Tbsp. of Salt
- ½ Tbsp. of Cinnamon Powder
- 100 Grams of Oatmeal
- 75 Grams of Chocolate Chips
Instructions
How to bake the Chocolate Cookies:
Pre-heat oven with 180°C . Mix soft Butter with brown, normal and Vanilla Sugar until creamy then add an Egg (without the shell) into it. Mix well. If Vanilla Sugar is not available, use >>>1 to 2 drops of Vanilla Extract.
Mix Flour, Cocoa Powder, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Salt and Cinnamon Powder together and then fold this into the buttery Mixture. Lastly, add the Oatmeal and Chocolate Chips into the dough and let it rest for 30 - 60 minutes so that the Oatmeal can swell up.
Lay Parchment Papers on your Baking Tray. Scoop 2 Tsp. and make small heaps but make sure that heaps are not so close to each other. Bake for at least 12 - 15 minutes. The Cookies are soft when they are still hot. Once they have cooled off, they become hard. Put the Cookies in a Cookie Jar.

Who stole the Cookie from the Cookie Jar?
SONGS
Who stole the Cookie from the Cookie Jar?
Courtesy of Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The song usually begins with the group leader asking who stole a cookie from an apocryphal (or, in some cases, real) cookie jar, followed by the name of one of the children in the circle. The child questions the "accusation," answered by an affirmation from the "accuser," followed by continued denial from the "accused." The accuser asks who stole the cookie, followed by the name of another child in the circle. The call-and-answer is potentially infinitely recursive, limited only by the number of participants or the amount of time the participants wish to spend on it.
Sometimes, a clapping or snapping beat is used by the children in the circle. Sometimes, the other children in the group sing along with the "accuser" after the "accused" has been identified. Some variations on the theme include the use by teachers of the song as a lesson in keeping with a beat and improvisation. As with many children's songs, there can be many variations on the execution of the performance.
The song's lyrics are usually:
Accuser: Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?
(name of a child in the circle) stole the cookie from the cookie jar.
Accused: Who, me?
Accuser/Group: Yes, you!
Accused: Not me!/Couldn't be!/Wasn't me!
Accuser/Group: Then who?
This is followed by the "accused" saying the name of someone else, as "(name of a child in the circle) stole the cookie from the cookie jar," and the subsequent back-and-forth lines are repeated. The song may be repeated ad infinitum or it may end - if it is being performed as part of a game, where members of the group are eliminated by failing to keep up with the prescribed beat or eliminated as a result of being chosen as one of the accused.
The song, and game, is featured as one of the sequences in Grandpa's Magical Toys; the only accusation that is missing is that of the Dutch Girl, and she reveals that she got all the toys and the last cookie.
A variation of the song has been used in Smart4life commercials in the US beginning in 2009".

- I am a cookie addict but it is my daughter who is great at making chocolate chip cookies. I usually try to stick to oatmeal and fruit or nut cookies to keep mine a wee smidge healthier - cause I love them just a wee smidge too much ;)

- Sweetly done! I love that you get us to clean the oven so we won't pollute out cookies! I'm waiting for the mail to come today because my sister sent me a care package with some cookies that she has been perfecting the recipe for a year on...she said she has now done it and I have loved every version. One would go great with this cup of coffee right now...so this has served as an appetizer for me! No Grinch allowed at my house today...now you made me think that he may get to my cookies...oh my!
