    great lens.We make our own food which covers 60-70% of of their meals.the rest is fed with blue buffalo or natural choice.

    My New Age Holistic Marin county veterinarian (in other words fancier care than I get for myself) suggested using a dog soup: green leafy vegetables: not onions, water and a protein source - like a can of tuna, or some left-over chicken.I will blend it and then either put it over the food or give it by itself. It really satisfies my dog, he just laps it up - and he doesn't gain excess weight.

    This is a very informative lens. I've always felt that homemade food is better, but at this time in my life, don't really have the time to make it.

    I want to get a puppy one of these days again and this homemade dog food looks like something I would love to feed a dog. Very good ideas! My favorite dog is the German Shepard, I've had 5 of them in my life and they sure do make good pets and guard dogs.
