how to make your own website for free

Hi! My name is Dave Wheaton, aka Dukewheatly and I am going to show you how to make your own website totally free. While down the road there are some things that might make your life a little easier (a graphics collection with psd headers comes to mind), I intend to provide you with the tools and video instruction to build your own website and it won't cost you a dime.

You first have to decide whether you want a blog or an html website. A blog has the advantage of creating a fairly complex site fairly quickly and easily. It is php based however and needs to be interpreted by the server you upload it to. Then you work on it from the admin section.

An html type site takes a little more work but has the benefit of being able to totally construct and test the site on your desktop before uploading it.

The two videos on this site, Part 1 and Part 2, deal with creating all of your html pages from a template you have constructed. They are, however, at the normal YouTube size of 320 x 240. All of the videos at my instructional site, GrabGreatTraffic.com are at 640 x 480 for more detail and every one has a post/transcript that you can print out to follow along.
