How to make your voice sound deeper

Be confident - You will be able to better project your voice if you are confident. If you lack confidence, try recording your voice and listen to how you sound. Then try recording your voice and speak with confidence, then compare the recordings and decide which voice you desire.

Talk slower - It will help project your voice from your chest

Vocal Exercises - Do some vocal exercises, humming, etc. You can find vocal exercises with a simple google search

Keep your head up when you speak - If you do the exercise mentioned on this page, you'll notice why keeping your head up when you speak helps alot in projecting a deeper voice.

Practice - It doesn't just come out of nowhere. You need to spend time alone and play around with your voice, and see what you can do with it. You can also take this alone time to do vocal exercises.

Talk from the back of your throat - Talk from the back of your throat and focus on your R's.

Understanding Why Your Voice Isn't Deep

The reason behind your voice not being as deep as you want it to be.

You can do a simple exercise right now to see why your voice might be consistently deep. Stress factors also play a big role in the crispness of your voice, assuming you do not need medical assistance. The simple exercise below will show you how your voice box is structured.

All you need to do is hum with your head facing down and your chin above your chest. Now continue humming, but lift your head back up with your face towards the ceiling.

You'll find that as you lift your head higher, the pitch of your voice starts to change automatically to a higher pitch. You wouldn't want to talk with your jaw tucked into your chest all the time, but upon doing this simple exercise, you will come to know how the larynx is built and how it works.

The larynx is essentially a muscle group that is formed in such a way to facilitate raw sound when air passes through it. This raw sound is shaped into words by the use of mouth shape and tongue manipulations. It is this raw sound we are interested in changing if we want a deeper and crisper voice.

From doing the exercise above, you'll notice that despite your efforts to maintain the same tone with your humming, it inarguably changed when you lifted your head, the pitch went to a higher level. The reason for this is the stretching of your voice box muscles. When your chin was at your chest, the voice box was limber, much like winding down a guitar string lower, its pitch changes.

Stress factors in the larynx create that lost control and the tightness in your larynx is what is responsible for your inability to main and control a crisp, deep speaking voice.

    "Focus on the 'R's"!! What!!
How do you do that if you speak British or Australian English. People haven't pronounced rhotic R's since the 1700s in England...except for country bumpkins from Somerrrset because it sounds dumb, uneducated and nasal ...like the farm hand has problems with his adenoids ..to pronounce the Rs everywhere they appear. Thats why Merrrkins sound like nasal dumbasses outside Merrrca.

My pitch didn't change as I moved my head up and down. but then I am a professional vocalist, and have to have the right pitch no matter where my head is. Could this be it?

To me...It seems like my voice isn't as deep as it once was. Like it seems softer/quieter.
People say that our voices sound different to us than it does to other people (something like that)
I just want to get my voice back to the way it used to be. Ugh,i hate my new voice.
