How to Meditate for Beginners - Simple Tips

I practice meditation for a few years by now. In the beginning I was confused by different methods. I couldn't even figure out what it is to meditate the right way.

If you are looking for information on how to start meditating; what meditation practice is the best one; or what should you feel during meditation then you could find a few tips that can be helpful for you.

Here is the easy way to learn to meditate

How to Meditate for Beginners - The Easiest Way to Start

With the modern technology you can learn to get into the meditation state very quicly

In my experience the easiest way to find out what the meditation state feels like, is to listen to binaural beats. When I was starting with my meditation practices I didn't know about this technology. It could really accelerated my progress.

It's a stereo sound that tunes your brainwaves into alpha, delta and theta states of deep meditation. However it does requires continuous practice to benefit from your meditation.

Sign up and download your copy of binaural beats to start meditating immediately.

How to Meditate for Beginners - Looking into a Mirror Technique

One of the most powerful techniques is to look at yourself ... in mirror

This meditation technique is my favorite one. It is fun and gives almost mystical experiences. However it does require to make some preparations.

Place a mirror large enough to see your face into a dark room. Place a candle next to the mirror so that it did not reflect in the mirror but you could see reflection of your face and eyes.

Now focus all your attention on the image of your eyes in the mirror. Look right into your eyes. Do not move them no matter what. Continue for 30-40 minutes. Repeat this procedure every day.

In a few days you will find that image of your face in mirror start changing. After another few days of such meditation there will be no face in the mirror just emptiness. That is the meditation state most meditation practitioners strive to achieve.

How to Meditate for Beginners - Constantly Practice Self Inquiry

You can always practice self inquiry no matter where you are and what you are doing

If you are really serious about meditation my advice is to practice self inquiry. It goes under other names like self remembering, atma vichara, etc.

People like Gurjief, Ramana Maharhsi, Nisargadatta Maharaj advocated this technique.

In my experience this can be the most powerful technique in day-to-day, moment-by-moment life when you don't have enough time to sit in quiet meditation.

Interestingly enough it's the simplicity of this method makes it hard to explain. I will do my best to explain it to you.

The core principal of self inquiry or self remembering is to look at yourself. To pay attention to THAT we call I. If you can observe it it's not THAT. There is something which is always present. When you have been a child it was here. In any good or bad situation it's here. It is that to what we refer as I.

If you keep paying attention as much as you can you will start feeling the difference. Your perception of the world will shift dramatically. But It may take some time though.
