How to Parent your Children
I'm a self-employed Dad who is passionate about spending time with my family. I like to keep up with the latest parenting information to become the best father I can be.
While I spend almost all of my time at home I also work as well. When I'm not busy running after the kids I do a lot of web consulting and blogging. It's certainly not a business that's going to make us rich, but then being rich is not something I was ever really interested in any way. The kids keep me happy and motivated.
I find that it's extremely important to use your "free" time wisely and if I'm not bumming around on the net I like to read about different parenting styles and glean advice for those who have been through it before. I suppose the ultimate goal is to raise your kids better than you were raised ... and in turn hope their your grandkids are raised even better than your own kids. (Thanks to Everybody Loves Raymond for that quote)

Parenting Advice: Learning to say No
Is there a battle more intense than the struggle of a misbehaving child vs. "No!?"
50 years ago the concept of saying no was prevalent and often came with a slap of the wrist or smack on the bottom. Many of that generation grew up to be more docile in their parenting techniques, resorting to timeouts or opting to "let the child learn on his/her own." Today we know that successful and consistent discipline is an important parenting tactic that helps both you and your child.
So, what's the fuss over saying no?
