How to prepare for spell casting and spellweaving

It is important to give your spells careful thought and preparation.

Before you start spellweaving, your equipment should be blessed and the ingredients you use should be chosen with great love and care.

To prepare yourself for casting a spell, you should begin by cleansing, and your mind must be focused and full of energy. You should also have taken the spellweaver's pledge that the magic spell you create will be for the higher good.

Energetic Breathing

The most important ingredient in a successful spell is belief.

The second most important ingredient is feeling. The more concentrated positive effort you fill your spell with, the more potent your spellweaving will be.

If you succeed in believing. 100 per cent, that your spell will work then it will. To build your concentrated energy, you will need to learn energetic breathing.

When you have mastered the technique , use it whenever you feel the need, particularly when you are weaving a difficult spell that you need all your powers.

  1. Make sure your feet are firmly set upon the ground, shoulder width apart, and feel their contact with the earth. With your hands resting on your stomach, take a few deep breaths, deep in your stomach, to ground yourself.

  2. Place both hands just below the sternum. Begin to breathe, not too deeply, but slow and with concentration.

  3. On each inward breath, breathe through your nose, and draw golden light into yourself.

Hold the breath for a short time and feel your heart opening.

On each outward breath, breathe through your mouth, as you do so let the light circulate around your body.

  4. Breathe this way until you feel energized and wide awake. Then rest your hands on the heart chakra for a few moments, breathing normally.

The Power of High Magic

Before you begin sending wishes and weaving spells, BE WARNED ! What you give out in magic returns to you threefold. The energy you put in to your spells increases and grows as it is released, so be careful what you wish for because you may have to live with the consequences for a long time. However, by asking with sincerity, you ask from the right place, from the heart, and this is the true power that you hold within you. It is important not to be fearful of magic, but be humble.

The Spellweaver's Pledge

Before you start spellweaving and begin spells of high magic it is important that you pledge yourself to the light.

This should be done simply and from the heart.

  1. Place your hands on your heart and ask that you be filled with the light of love. Imagine the golden light and feelings of love filling your heart and then your whole body.

  2. Let the light begin to radiate out in all directions around you, so that you are surrounded in an aura of its golden rays.
Do this with the palm of your hands facing towards the sky, as though receiving the light.

  3. Open up your arms and raise them above your head so that your palms are facing upwards towards the heavens and say the pledge. Then bring your arms down to your sides.

The Pledge

I call upon the divine will of the universe, to send a blessing upon my heart, so that i may be filled with the light of love and truth in all that i do.

I pledge that from this day, i will do my best to harm none with my thoughts, words or deeds.

I pledge that any magic i perform will be for the highest good of all.

So mote it be !

Body Cleansing - Smudging

Preparation for spellweaving is traditionally done by bathing in water. Another form of body cleansing is smudging, or cleansing through smoke.
The best herb for smudging is sage, but frankincense crystals or juniper aromatherapy oil can be used as alternatives.

  1. Rub some dried sage into a ball in your hands and place in heatproof bowl.

  2. Light the ball of sage with matches and fan gently with a feather.

  3. Using the feather, fan the smoke all around your body, including under your feet and armpits, and the back of your body.

  4. Pass the feather through the smoke when you have finished, to cleanse it.

Blessing and Consecrating your Equipment

All equipment that you intend to use for spellweaving should be cleansed and consecrated first. When blessed, the items can be stored carefully, ready for use.
For the purposes of this blessing we will imagine a cord ( that you would use to make your protected spellweaving circle ) is being consecrated.

  1. In a cleared space outside or on the floor, mark the four points of the compass. Moving clockwise, place an incense cone in the east, a candle in the south, a small bowl of spring water in the west and a small pile or bowl of salt in the north.

  2. Light the incense. Turn to the east and say:

I cleanse, bless and consecrate this cord with the powers of air.

The pass the cord through the smoke from the incense, while imagining a clear cool breeze passing through the cord.

  3. Light the candle in the south, and say :

I cleanse, bless and consecrate this cord with the powers of fire.

Then pass the cord over the candle flame while imagining it being filled with warmth and light.

  4. Turn to the west, where the bowl of water is placed, say :

I cleanse, bless and consecrate this cord with the powers of water.

Then dip the cord into the water or splash some water over it, while visualizing a crystal clear waterfall cascading through it.

  5. Turn to the north, where the salt is placed, and say :

I cleanse, bless and consecrate this cord with the powers of Earth.

While sprinkling the cord with a pinch of salt and imagining stability and nourishment filling it with balance and harmony, say :

May this cord now be cleansed and purified for the highest good of all.

The Silver Chalice

To be a spell weaver of high magic, you must work to better yourself and this can be done by developing the heart.

To give, it is necessary to first learn how to receive in a truly open - hearted way.

Use this visulaization of a silver chalice to forge an open relationship between you and the Earth.

This is a good exercise when you are focusing your energies for a spell, but also is worth doing at other times.

  1. Visualize that your heart contains a silver chalice if you are female, or a gold goblet if you are male, that is wondrous to behold. The chalice is decorated with precious stones, and apples and vines are embossed around the rim.

  2. Imagine that golden light is falling down from the heavens through the top of your head and down into the chalice.

  3. Allow the cup to overflow with sparkling golden light.

  4. The light keeps falling from above as you let it overflow and cascade down through you to Earth, bathing her and you in golden light.

As a fictional lens, it is good. But as a scientist, the concepts are hard to believe. Still keep up the good work. Who knows, one day we may find different concepts??????
