Some great information here. I have read that the money in affiliate marketing has gone because ventors are giving people the affiliats revenue as a discount to shop direct. Some stores even pay you to shop. I am new to this and want to create another modist income, I just wonder is it possible? Could you let me know what you think? Thanks.
  • Gordon_Hamilton May 19, 2012 @ 6:55 am | delete
Hi, Andrew. Thanks for your comment. I can only speak for myself but I still comfortably make pay out from Amazon every month. Affiliate marketing is a very uncertain business and results will vary hugely from individual to individual. Where you can identify a niche and properly promote and recommend the right products, however, there is still very much money to be made from the process. Good luck!

Thank you for responding. My area is stress so I will be marketing products around that. I am not looking for a full time income but a small second income I can gradually build on. So this looks the thing for me. Thanks again. All the best on Squidoo. Andy

Are you sure you were blacklisted by google? If so where and how did you go about finding this information out.
  • Gordon_Hamilton Nov 11, 2011 @ 7:08 am | delete
    Hi,

I'm afraid I'm only going by the fact that traffic completely dried up, not any specific formal notification. It was such a sudden and complete eradication of traffic, however, there can be little doubt.
  • guzie Nov 10, 2011 @ 8:59 pm | delete
Did you really get blacklisted? If so how did you find out. Is there a site or place where we can check to see if our site or blog has been "blacklisted by google"?

If a web site has great content but nobody ever reads it, is it really great? That in itself explains why web site marketing is so incredibly important.

You intrigue me, sir. You appear to have extensive knowledge of so much, which you only hint at in so much of your writings, leaving the reader desiring more and determined to find it - perfect!

I have noticed around the Web that your location appears to change extremely regularly - is this for work reasons? Are you so much in demand that you have to keep relocating?

I will watch the development of your writings in this field and may very well be in direct touch soon.

Please maintain your focus and good work!

    Gerald

Very helpful and I have bookmarked Yahoo Answers and will try to spend some time there each week. I know this works, in fact, it has driven quite a bit of traffic to a splash page I have. For some reason it hadn't clicked that I should make this a habit as a way to be helpful and provide a link. Thanks for the nudge!
