Many people are stumped about how to put videos on PSP because they don't have enough free memory. A 512mb memory stick is the bare minimum necessary. Then of course you need a computer to link the PSP to via a USB cable. An internet connection is optional but useful to download videos.
Step 1: Connect the computer and PSP together but make sure the PSP is turned off initially. Once the connection is made then turn on the PSP.
Step 2: With the PSP on, go to the Settings Menu and press X. This will link the PSP to the computer. Then go to the computer and MY COMPUTER will show an extra volume attached. This is the Sony Play Station Portable/PSP.
Step 3: Open the memory card then the folder named PSP. You'll need to create a folder here named "MP_ROOT" (no quotes) and under MP_ROOT another sub-folder named "100MNV01" (no quotes).
Step 4: Save your videos in the 100MNV01 folder and you're all set. Videos need to be in MP4 format and to convert your existing collection into this format you will need some specialized software - click link below.
