First things first... In order to make money on e-bay you need feedback. The more the better! And if you are new the e-bay it can be hard to get the positive feedback you need to get buyers to trust that you are a good seller. The only way to get feedback on e-bay is to sell things. This means one of two things for you. One, you could just jump right in and start selling. In that case skip to step #2. However, it is important not to forget that buyers trust sellers with higher feedback then sellers with lower feedback. Because of this, it might better for you to hold off on step #2 until you have in established some feedback. Your goal should be to have a feedback score of 20 or more. In order to get easy fast feedback I suggest you go threw your house with a fine tooth comb and sell everything you would normally sell at a garage sale on E-bay. Sell it for as low of a price as you're normally would at your garage sale. Price things to sell! Another easy seller is coupons. Have you been to the grocery store and saw the coupon dispensers? Next time you do pull out 10 - 15 of the coupons, and list them all the E-bay. You see these coupons are regional, meaning they are only dispensed in certain parts of the nations. Once an item sells be sure to email the buyer RIGHT AWAY stating how important positive feedback is to you.

I sign up for Amazon.com prime thus I get free 2 day shipping and $3.99 for overnight shipping. These savings I promote in my ebay auctions. Furthermore, to increase your selling success I suggest you do two thing:

The next way to make money on e-bay is to sell only holiday items. This method takes a little patience's, but is truly a great way to make money e-bay. You see after every holiday many stores put all their holiday merchandise on sale for 80% to 90% off. Buy up as much as you can, then store it for the next holiday and sell it on e-bay earning yourself 80% or 90% profit!

The old tried and true way to make money on ebay ... Estate Sales , garage sale, and goodwill... But let me give you a few hints as to what exactly look for and how to go about this. First and foremost, if you hate estate sales, garage sale, and goodwill then this method of money on Ebay is NOT for you. If you love or even just like them then here are some clues to help you.

#1. Until you really start to know when sells and what doesn't sell on E-bay always buy LOW. Don't spend more than $5.00 on a single item.
#2. Find something you like the most and stick to selling only those items. I for instance have a fondness for plates. So I try to only sell old plates & antique silverware. The more I sell, the better I get at identifying brands that sell. If you love old toys, old tools, or old guns it doesn't matter, just pick what you like the most and focus mainly on that.
#3. If you find something that you think, "Hey look at this. It's really cool!" Chances are someone else will think the same thing and want to buy it from you on E-bay. If it's cheap, buy it!
#4. When you are home on your computer will start to notice some items that ALWAYS sell on E-bay. Start making a list of these items and how much they sell for. Bring this list where ever you go.
#5. Here's is a short list of some items that almost ALWAYS sell on E-bay. I can't say always, but most of the time they do.

a) Cell phones, even if they are broken. Of course this depends on the model as to how much you will get for it but even if it's broken someone will want it for parts. So if you see one for $1 - $5 buy it!
b) Anything that is "original" Disney World. If you see anything vintage Disney World it'll sell. Again, my advice is don't spend a lot for the items until you start to learn what items sell for how much.
c) Anything that is Autographed. Of course it has to be autographed by at least a B-list celebrity.
d) Old Brownie Kodak Cameras.
e) Charter Oak Silverware.
f) OLD, OLD bibles. The bibles with the metal claps on them from the 1800's.
g) Almost anything "Fire King".
h) Aladine Oil Lamps. (It'll say Aladine on the part you turn to get the wick to come up).
i) Original vintage Silver Pom - Pom Christmas Trees!
j) Any Limited Edition Vinyl Records
k) Vintage hamilton beach milkshake makers (especially the green ones! ).
l) Rotary phones that are any color but Beige.
