How To Remove Cellulite

Cellulite is the condition where the skin appears to have that orange peel affect in certain areas and it is generally found in the lower half of the body. Although additional fat is normal in women, this is not just a problem exclusive to overweight women.

How to remove your cellulite

Although additional fat is normal in women, this is not just a problem exclusive to overweight women; even sporting women who do not carry much additional fat can have this condition.

You see as the collection of fats push against the connective tissue, it tends to cause the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker and visually look lumpy; giving you what is referred to as cellulite. It may still be some time before medical science arrives at a definitive reason for why some people are more prone to this than others but it may have something to do with how toxins are held in the cells of some people.

Two components of the skin that decrease with age are elastin and collagen, both of which may be responsible for the increase of these fatty cells as women grow older. Women are more prone to hormonal imbalances as they age and the fat found in their thighs and buttocks where it forms is different to the fat in other areas, unlike men who rarely suffer with this condition.

Often the cellulite goes unnoticed and it is only when a person's muscles are compressed or the skin is pinched that it can be seen and felt but women should not feel depressed about the problem as most suffer with it to a greater or lesser degree. Many factors can influence the buildup; ranging from the sex of the person to their age, genetic make-up, skin type and skin thickness, all have a part to play in its formation.

As medical science cannot prove conclusively what causes the problem, it makes it difficult creating a cure even though a number have been tried including special burning creams. A large number of cosmetic clinics are now offering a massage service which they say rids the cellulite but it in fact hides it by puffing up the skin in the areas affected.

Liposuction is sometimes used to remove fats generally from the body and can be attempted for this condition as well but the use of drugs injected into the cells to remove it is costly and out of reach for most women. Only temporary relief can be gained from both these procedures and liposuction despite its success at removing deep fat from large areas of the body, is not designed for the fats close to the surface as in the case of cellulite.

A number of cosmetic manufacturers claim their creams are an effective method of removing the fat cells but it would seem these are just a method of masking the condition making it less visible and so far no definitive treatment exists. Many people believe that the only realistic way to reduce the amount of fatty tissue a person has is to follow a controlled diet plan and exercise regularly which will gradually burn off much of the body fat including that found in the tissues of the thighs and buttocks.

In addition, increasing the intake of water will help cleanse the system and flush out damaging toxins plus smokers should stop smoking or at least reduce it which will also be beneficial as smoking impacts negatively on the capillaries in the skin and reducing stress will help getting rid of cellulites.

Cellulite Exercise

How to Get Your Body Back in Perfect Shape

One sure way to prevent the formation of cellulite is exercise. Exercising let's you reduce fat in your body; hence, reduce the possibility of forming cellulite, which are mostly composed of fatty deposits, hardened connective tissues, fluids and other waste products in the body. While there is no definitive solution to cellulite, exercise, a healthy diet and drinking lots of water can help you prevent the formation of more cellulite.

Cellulite Exercise - The Benefits

Regular exercise is a great way to burn excessive fat in the body, detoxify the skin, improve blood circulation and improve one's general health condition. It is also proven to effectively reduce the dimpled appearance caused by cellulite (as well as avoid the formation of more of them).

An ideal cellulite exercise should include aerobic exercises that help improve cardiovascular fitness such as brisk walking, jogging, and swimming. Using workout equipment that can help you target specific muscle groups or parts of your body where there is cellulite would be great as well.

Cellulite Exercise - Sample Work Out Routine

If you are serious about getting fit and saying goodbye to those ugly dimples in your thighs or arms, try to work out for at least 45 minutes a day, twice or thrice a week. Doing this regularly will help you tighten up your muscles and get rid of loose skin.

Here are some tips for you:

  • Getting Started. - Before you start your cellulite exercise routine, make sure to first have all that you will need. Prepare your workout clothes and equipment. A pair of dumbbell and an aerobic mat would be great to begin with.

  • Warming Up. A warm up is a slow exercise that is intended to prepare the body for more intensive routines. Warming up is very important to prevent any injury during the workout itself. Stretching your arms and legs and walking for a few minutes are excellent warm ups for your cellulite exercise.

  • For your cellulite exercise routine, you can do squat exercises, back row exercises, bicep curls, tricep overhead extension and treadmill exercises.

  • After doing your cellulite exercise routine, you should also do some light exercises to help your body cool down after an exhaustive workout. This prevents dizziness and allows your heart rate to go back to its normal rate.

Remember, any kind of exercise would be more effective if it's coupled with a healthy diet, a clean lifestyle and the right attitude!

Cellulite Solution

I Dieted, I Exercised, and Still!

So you've gotten compliments on your new, slim look - but you still need a cellulite solution. All those months of exercise have finally paid off, you feel healthy, and you FEEL toned. But why don't you LOOK it? You may need a cellulite solution other than exercise.

Your skin loses elasticity as you age. If you're in your 20s, it is likely that the dimpled appearance of some parts of your body will eventually go away. It may take many months, but if you keep at it, the appropriate exercise DONE REGULARLY may be the only cellulite solution you need.

But if you're in your late 20s or older, and you're starting to despair about ever getting rid of that unsightly orange-peel look, here are a couple of options to look into.

Cellulite Solution - A Ray of Light...

Did you know that the most promising cellulite solution in recent years involves light and radio frequencies? The catch is that it can cost you anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000, once or twice a year, to keep your thighs looking firm using these technologies. And the results are, of course, not permanent.

Be wary of cellulite solution marketers who tell you they're currently conducting clinical tests and, after 3 months, the results appear to be permanent. More extensive, independent studies show that results from these cellulite solutions last only as long as 6 months.

The Food and Drug Administration recently approved a couple of branded light cellulite solution devices. That simply means that they're safe for use. FDA approval has more to do with regulating safety than with validating any system's effectiveness.

Cellulite Solution - Massage

Cylinders roll over your dimpled skin, deeply massaging it and creating a suctioning effect, and this, system developers claim, stimulates your body to rid itself of fat cells the natural way. Sound like a good idea? It should because it works.

Marketed under the new cellulite solution catch phrase, endermologie, this procedure can be invigorating. The catch is that it costs a couple of hundred dollars a pop to create a temporary result.

If you try this cellulite solution one time, you'll get firm thighs for maybe 2 or 3 days. Developers say that the more treatments you undergo the longer the results last. But published clinical research on endermologie is still lacking.

It still hasn't been proven just how long the results last for, say, the 20 hour-long treatments developers recommend. If you multiply 20 by $225 (average endermologie session cost) PLUS $400 (average monthly maintenance), you'd end up paying a fortune!
