How to Set Up Google Analytics For Your Squidoo Lenses

1. First off you'll need to sign up for a Google Analytics account. It doesn't cost anything so don't worry about that. Visit the Google Analytics homepage to sign up for an account.

2. Once you have an Analytics account you'll need to associate it with your Squidoo profile. To do this you're going to need to set up your first Google Analytics Website profile. I called mine Squidoo.com. To do this go to the main account profile section. If you haven't set up any profiles yet it should look something like this. Click on the + Add new account.



3. You should now see the, "New Website Profile", section. It will look something like the screenshot below.



4. Once you've set up your profile you'll see the profile list page. It should look like the screenshot below. At this stage you'll need your Google Analytics Tracking ID. It looks something like this --> UA-12345678-1 and is located right after your profile name.



5. Once you have your Google Analytics Tracking ID you'll need to plug it into Squidoo to begin tracking. To do this first log into Squidoo. Once logged in click on, "My Settings", located at the upper right hand toolbar. You should now see your account settings that look something like the screenshot below.



6. Paste your Google Analytics ID here. Analytics is now set up. Come back in 24 hours once your account has had time to collect data.
