How To Spin An Article - Top 5 Tips For Beginners

This sounds like a pretty lousy tip, but trust me, I wouldn't put it in here if I didn't think it was important. When it comes time to spin an article for whatever reason, you have a choice: Start from scratch or write an article, which I would then copy & paste into the article spinner for further work. I choose the latter.

Spinning an article can be extremely tedious and painstaking when you have a pre-made article. So it should come as no surprise that starting from scratch will add "x" amount of work to the process. Given, for some individuals, starting from scratch may be their preference, but it is not for me. I like to have that base article to work off of. It gives me a better idea of how to spin certain words, phrases or paragraphs because I know the direction of the article. I find it even gives a little boost to morale knowing that I have less to do.

If there is one thing you should take away from this post, it's that if you choose to spin articles, spin MANUALLY. I understand why people choose to use an automatic spinner. It's fast, it's easy and it gets out many backlinks. What those people don't realize is that those backlinks will carry very little value for them. It is these type of articles that give article spinning a bad rep. Instead of trying to put out a hundred low quality backlinks that will deliver no relevant traffic and very little link juice, switch your focus to creating quality articles for relevant websites.

People find themselves in more of a time crunch than ever before. They do not have time to wade through all the garbage that automatic spinners spew out. Give them something worthy of their attention and they will follow. If you are able to get people to share your article on their blog, website, etc, this will be of much more value in search rankings and traffic than a hundred backlinks that never get a second look. Quality distinguishes your work from everyone else. Manually spinning articles allows you to maintain quality throughout the process because you are in control of what the program will spin.

When submitting multiple spun articles on the web, be sure to keep in mind the relevancy of your content to the website and to the individuals that use that website. Do not submit a post about article spinning on a coffee website. The further you stray from relevancy, the more you look like spam.

Creating unique articles is not so much important for the readers of your post, as it is for the search engines. What I mean by this is that if you spin a hundred similar articles, a search engine like Google will no doubt pick up on this. There are many opinions out there on how Google deals with duplicate content (or similar content), but I think it's safe to say it does not help improve the value of your backlinks. Google aims to deliver fresh, quality content meaning that unique articles will benefit over relatively similar content in the search rankings.

So if you want to spin an article fifty times, you want to make sure you spin well enough to maintain uniqueness. A general guideline that I use is 60% uniqueness. This may seem low to some people, but it really isn't. With so many articles on the web today and only so many different ways to say things, if you can reach 60% uniqueness, you are doing very well.

Many people who choose to spin articles take very little heed of everything the program has to offer. They will find synonyms for words, but that's where they stop. If you want to really spin an article well, you NEED to spin more than just words, but also sentences and paragraphs. It will take more time, but it will make your articles more unique and therefore more valuable as a collective.

A general guideline to follow would be to spin every sentence that you have with at least 2-3 variations each. Inside each of these variations, be sure to spin the words. For paragraphs, you can omit certain paragraphs or change their position in the article. It is up to you and how creative you want to get.

Once you have spun your articles, you NEED to proofread a few to make sure they were spun well and that there were no mistakes. For example, when you are spinning words, sentences and paragraphs, it is easy to misplace a bracket because frankly, they are everywhere.

I have read too many articles that have no flow or that have words that don't really fit into the sentence properly. As a reader, it turns me off of the article immediately. I tend to assume it was either automatically spun or someone didn't take the time to review it before it was submitted. It only takes a few minutes and there is always something you can change, add or delete. Make it a priority throughout the spinning process.

Knowing how to spin an article should be considered a good internet marketing resource, but only in so far as it does not get abused. If you really want to gather value from your backlinks, there needs to be a focus on quality and uniqueness throughout the spinning process. Don't necessarily focus on getting quick backlinks, but rather quality backlinks that give value to you and your readers. My preference is to write something new, but I do understand the time-saving value article spinning can have.
