The Beginning of the day could actually set the tone for the day. For instance, if some one has an argument, they will feel snappy for a few hours or for most of the day. On the other hand, if the day is started off on a positive vibe - even if there are problems, it wouldn't phase you because you have peace and a renewed inner strength inside you. You'll simply sail through the day.

1) Being at one with Nature

Depending on the area you live - If your house has a garden/balcony that has a good view of the sunrise - you could sit there and watch it quietly while having a drink. Another option is to go for a walk in a park, sit in a garden - be peaceful, gather your thoughts and it will have a very calming effect. Sometimes in situations like this, some creative ideas come to mind or the answer to a problem might just hit you on the head - well, not literally.

2) Affirmations

Affirmations are positive statements. Repeated statements help you focus on what you want to be a reality in your life. You mentally and emotionally see and feel it as true, irrespective of your current circumstances and as a result, attract it into your life. They work on the subconscious. You could buy a book of affirmations or write your own.

Example:
** "There is growing abundance in every area of my life."
** "I am transforming myself into the person I dream of becoming."
** "My body is getting stronger and healthier everyday." Etc etc

3) Inspiring Words

Read or listen to people who inspire. Some Life Coaches have very good resources (audio's/books) that would make you not only feel inches taller after listening or reading them, but you will have renewed motivation to achieve your goals and feel more positive. This always puts a spring in ones steps.

Tony Robbins is one of the best Life Coaches and I have 2 of his Boxed Set Audio's - Personal Power and Get the Edge. They are very inspirational and have provoked me into taking a lot of positive action in my life. You can also search the Internet for other Life Coaches.

4) Journaling

Writing Therapy - So much happens everyday and sometimes it's nice to write down what happened the day before. Something it's nice to review your goals and make notes of the next step you need to take in order to get closer to that goal - or simply jot down your thoughts on how you are feeling at that particular time. Writing is like an outlet.

5) Prayer / Meditation

Prayer or Meditations - Another beautiful way to start the day. Casting all your care on the most high or as others would say "a greater power" with belief that all will be well as you go about your day. It's like taking a weight off your shoulder and you'll feel peaceful and better afterwards. You could even take up Yoga classes and start benefiting from the way it relaxes the body and mind.

In summary - Sometimes it's hard to find that spare 30 minutes or so, in the morning, especially if you have kids. However, try to make time for it. Maybe, wake up 15 minutes earlier than usual and incorporate it into your day.

I'm sure you will see a positive difference.
