Here is a short fix and humane way to stop your dog from barking... and you will use your hands. But you won't hit her!

When your dog starts barking... give her a few minutes to "get it out of her system" to allow your dog to express herself... and then if she doesn't calm down... reach out and clasp her muzzle gently but firmly in your hands.
