Taming and Showing Your Rooster Who is Boss!
So my rooster, shown here, thinks he is the yard boss! In fact, he scares me if I am not properly armed when I go outside and he is on the loose.
Well not anymore, I've figured out how to tame this rooster and I'm betting it will work on yours too if you are having similar issues. Read on to see what I do now and how I've tamed this "I am the yard boss" attitude with a few pumps and a squirt from my new yard weapon.
This is How-To Tame a Rooster
In just a few easy steps
Now that I have you a bit curious...at least I hope I do...I am going to explain my super easy strategy for taming a rooster!
Needed Supplies:
Water - straight from the tap or rain barrel and a Super Soaker Squirt Gun! It really is that easy ;)
I never venture outside without being fully loaded and armed. Now all I have to do if the "yard boss attitude" flares is give my super soaker a few pumps, that usually just stops him in his tracks. If he persists then the rooster with the 'tude' gets a good squirt or two square between the eyes or on his tail-end as he is running the other direction!
Give your cock-a-doodle do in the Duel below and remember no farm animals have been harmed or maimed....he's been tamed!

My 6 year old uses the garden hose, same concept, now he just has to carry the end of the hose! The rooster has been demoted, he is no longer the "man", as my son puts it!

I am going to try this. My rooster has the same attitude and he even looks just like yours. I know the squirt bottle works on cats and dogs so why not chickens. No more getting kicked in the leg for me!!

seems fun but not very practical...what's he gonna do?....peck your leg?....just tap him with your toe in his chest....however hard you think he needs it...that part is on you... water's cool, but if I'm arming myself, I'll take a sprayer of some sort, and a tank I can fill with about 2.5 gallons of water...just to feel safe.......just to "feel" safe................oh...and a knife in my boot...just in case.........just "in" case...............b
