Teaching kids the A – Z of True friendship

A - Accepts you as you are, no matter what you look like and no matter your nationality.

B - Believes in you and can trust you.

C - Calls you up just to say "Hello." Loves to talk to you.

D - Doesn't give up on you and encourages you, even when you beat yourself up.

E - Envisions the whole of you, even the unfinished parts because you are growing everyday.

F - Forgives your mistakes because no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes.

G - Gives freely without wanting something back.

H - Helps you as much as they can even when it is inconvenient for them. They do it out of love - which is selfless.

I - Invites you over to play or to eat etc.

J - Just wants to be with you. They enjoy your presence. They take pleasure in being round you.

K - Keeps you close at heart because you are important to them.

L - Loves you for who you are, not because you come from a rich family, or are beautiful, intelligent or something else.

M - Makes a difference in your life in a positive way. They don't influence you to do bad things.

N - Never Judges you.

O - Offers to support when they feel you need help.

P - Picks you up whenever you are down. They won't laugh at you during your low times.

Q - Quietens your fears.

R - Raises your spirits by making you laugh and inspires you.

S - Says nice things about you, that will warm your heart. Pays you nice compliments. Never bullies.

T - Tells you the truth even if it hurts. Sometimes the truth is bitter.

U - Understands you.

V - Values and respects you. You are special to them.

W - Walks beside you through thick and thin.

X-plains things to you that you don't understand in a patient way.

Y - YELLS when you won't listen so they can get your attention.

Z - Zaps you back to reality any time your feet leave the ground - Planet Earth!!
