Do you take your Dog on Holiday?

Let me know you were here...

From the lens Traveling with your Dogs.

Do you have a tip to help others who are finding it hard to get their pet to settle in the car? or perhaps you have learned something new, and you are looking forward to your next trip with your dog, instead of dreading it.

Don't know how you do it! I have enough trouble traveling with my tiny beagle... then again, he has enough energy for five dogs :)

I love traveling and I love it when we take our dog Katie with us. We did 2 cross country trips with her. We say Katie traveled so much that she peed and left her smell in 15 different US States. :-)

We took off one of the middle seats of our minivan to give her some space to lay down and stretch and to easily drink her water and eat. She loves cars, she loves motel rooms. So glad she never gets car sick.

I think doge are fairly easy to take along. We used to travel regularly with three cats. All three were leash trained and loved to go. However, our present cat, no such luck. He is absolutely phobic about the car.

Love this and really, jumping a cliff after a sea gull. Sorry, I had to laugh. My big boy Waco is good traveling but he sometimes gets car sick and throws up. It's a pretty cramped space when I have all six in the car. :) I'm so glad you stress training. That is so important if you want the dog to be happy and a byproduct is a good trip for you.

One of these days I'm going to have a dog again. I don't know if it will be traveling with me anywhere, but I sure would want to make sure its safe too.

    Cute pictures!

When I travelled with my dog, she got really nervous in the car. So then we put her crate on the seat and seatbelted it in (she's small, not sure how this would work for big dogs). Being in the crate made her feel much more calm.

Nice lens... love the pics of molly and roxy :) Our dog, Flynn, loves 'his' car... a long journey is the perfect excuse for a good sleep!

Your dogs are great travelers. We no longer have pets but we have traveled with our grand pups! Our cat loved the car but our dog wasn't comfortable going or doing anything! :)

I don't have dogs (and my cats hate the car!) but my sister has Siberian Huskies. She has a cage that fits in her van for the young ones so they don't jump around.
