The problem with antivirus software
A lot of people these days encounter quite a strange problem, the software that we all should have to protect ourselves from malicious software has become somewhat malicious itself. Not that it's dangerous but it can be quite hard uninstalling the stuff once you have it on your PC. That is why I created this page to guide you through the process.
How to Uninstall AVG Completely
First, you will need to get a very good uninstaller for your system. The best system on the market as of now is the Perfect Uninstaller. This uninstaller will completely remove the program files as well as any traces on your system. Your system registry will have entries of this program, so you need to scan your registry upon uninstalling. In terms of the free or trial version of AVG, it is always hard to remove. Many free software makers make it hard to remove the program and they do this on purpose. The goal behind it is that people will eventually think of buying the program since they can't remove it.
However, you could certainly try to remove AVG antivirus by starting from a fresh start. Start your computer and wait until all your programs have fully loaded. Once everything is fully loaded, you need to go into your task manager, which can be done by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL. In your task manager, go into the processes tab and search for AVG related exe files. These processing files should be stopped from running. Simply select the exe file and click on end process. Once all the AVG related processes have been stopped; go into your control panel.
Open Add/Remove programs and uninstall AVG antivirus you have on your system. If this still doesn't work for you, it most likely means you need an uninstaller like Perfect Uninstaller. Even if you were to get in touch with the AVG customer care center, they would not be able to help you with this issue. The company would help with installing, but with uninstalling; they would be very unwilling.
