What is Pinterest?
Pinterest calls itself a virtual pinboard. After signing up, you can create pinboards on almost any topic. You can also organize all the pins you create and share them with other users of the website.
Additionally, you can look into the pins and boards created by other users. If you like the pins of a certain user, you can follow said user so that you will receive updates when the user creates a new pin or updates an existing pin.
In essence, Pinterest is a social bookmarking and social networking site rolled into one.

You will then be taken to a page that asks you to "Sign up for an invite to join Pinterest". Simply enter your email address to request for an invitation. That's it. All you need to do now is wait for the invitation to arrive in your email.
