Giving Gifts With Perceived High Value Gets You Much Further Than Kissing Butt!
Here's my story about how I actually used wholesale designer merchandise, that I bought for a fraction of it's real or perceived cost, and climbed the ladder of success. It works like crazy! I'm here to tell you!
In today's world, people, unfortunately, have become more selfish and self-centered. It's all about "me" and what everyone else can do for "me."
I've found a way to make that work for me. It can work for you too and I'm going to show you how to do it.
I'd suggest that you don't share this with very many people because then THEY will use it to get ahead and some of them may be your co-workers.

Back Then...
A Dreary Existence
Ok, let's go back about three years. Not that long ago, huh?
I'd been out of college for six years and, unfortunately, I got hooked up with a company that is very political and tends to use it's firmly planted current suck-ups as it's golden boys and girls.
These people run amok in the offices and do and get whatever they want from the higher ups. One of them just happens to be a son of one of the owners, but that's to be expected.
The Company is very successful in it's field and employs about 60 full-time people. I will not name the company because it would completely give away the entire game and I'm not even going there. Just know that they're in the sports promotion business, ok? That's all you need to know.
Anyway, I was hired only because I knew another guy who knew that I know how to write and they were looking for someone who can write copy. So, I was interviewed and hired for a measly amount. I was thinking that it would only be a part time position anyway. I had no intention of sticking around very long for this salary and with these highly political kiss-ups.
I was just doing my job daily and looking forward to weekends, as usual, with my friends and acquaintances. Mondays were a drag just like anywhere else.
Then one day, an announcement was made that there was a position that needed to be filled for a supervisory spot in my department. Big deal, right? I had no experience and did not even think for a minute that I would even be considered for that position. It was made for someone with a lot more experience than me.
Ok, a little side note here. I had been doing a little part-time work on my own, selling a few things on Ebay. You all know about Ebay, right? The online auction where anyone can sell just about anything? Ok, I'd started doing it several years prior to this and had been minutely successful. I'd sold a few items and had missed on a few others. No biggie.
I was looking for some resources where I could get some higher quality items that I could buy much cheaper and that had some room for me to make some significant money by reselling them on Ebay.
I happened to mention this to a friend of mine one day after work while we stopped in a local tavern to have a couple of brews. He told me about a friend of his who had a friend that was doing Ebay selling too and who had found a source of wholesale designer merchandise. Over the last couple of months he had been having some spectacular success selling this stuff. I asked him to get me the source if he could and he immediately called his friend, who then got us in touch with this guy and I had a short conversation with him about the Ebay biz and how I was looking for some resources. He hesitated and I could tell that he didn't really want to tell me but finally, I guess he couldn't help himself (thank you, Steve!) and he gave me the name of a source where he got his wholesale designer merchandise.
A week or so later, I called up this source (a guy) and he had no problem telling me how to get the merchandise. Gave me all the info I wanted.
I then asked for a catalog from the place and they sent it right out. I was astounded at the merchandise and prices. I could not believe that this was "true" designer name brand merchandise that I was being offered for so low a price.
I have a friend in the retail business downtown. He has a big fashionista house. After I bought just a few of these items, I wanted to know if they were real. So, I took them to him thinking he'd probably laugh his butt off at me for being suckered into a shady deal.
Ooops....not the case. When I showed him the handbag and the blouse that I had bought, he wanted to know where I got them. I told him and he asked me why I had not come to see him about them. I leveled with him and told him that I'd bought them from a wholesale source and then told him how much I'd paid for them.
He was NOT a happy camper. Why? Because the items were both genuine designer items. One was a Coach handbag and the other was a Gucci top and he sells very similar merchandise. He thought I was going to be selling this stuff locally and he told me he could not match my prices if that's what I was getting it for.
I calmed him down by telling him that I had no intention of selling the stuff locally. He then told me that it was indeed reall designer and I was lucky to be able to get it for such a great price.
So, my intention had been to sell it and make a profit but, it just so happened (and here's the real irony) that the boss's daughter had a birthday on this particular weekend. Everyone was invited to her party.
Can you see where I'm going with this? Right...
I had not bought a gift for her yet and so instead of putting the Coach purse on Ebay, I simply gave it to her as a gift. Do you think she was delighted? No one else came close to giving this quality of gift and she was elated, to say the least. So was the boss.
On Monday, when I got to work, the boss sent for me. I thought I was in some sort of trouble. WRONG!
He thanked me for the wonderful gift and he asked me if I'd considered applying for the manager position. I told him that I had not as I was not that experienced. He told me that I "should" as it may work out for me. "We can help you train for the position if you get it."
Well, I applied and I GOT it!
That was when I started thinking about how the perceived value of "things" is worth a lot more than the real value. You give people "stuff" and make them happy and they will reward you in various ways.

Forward A Few Months
Discoveries
Ok, a few months later, I'd begun to use my wholesale sources to start making some serious money on Ebay. I was having about the same success rate on my auctions as before but now I was making more money because I was able to get higher quality merchandise at extremely low prices. Things were looking up.
I was also the manager of the marketing department's visual ads section. That was a nice raise and promotion and the job is actually a lot easier than I'd ever imagined. They did train me and even sent me to a couple of seminars and workshops that taught me all I needed to know. I'm still in that capacity at this time.
I have a buddy who owns a bar and grill. A few months ago he was needing to get a loan in order to add on to his building. His own money supply was a bit low at the time and he was worried that he might be turned down.
Here's what I did for him. I ordered a nice Gucci handbag and some fashion jewelry. I got it from my wholesale source and the whole thing was less than $600. The perceived worth was way beyond the $2,000 mark. He paid me just what I had paid and he had a little dinner party at his house and invited a few prominent friends and his banker and his wife.
He wined and dined everyone and all had a good time. He then found a way to show the purse and the jewelry to his banker's wife and she was just all goo goo over them. Wondered how she could get some. This was exactly what my friend had been planning. As the banker and his wife were getting ready to leave, my friend made a gift to the wife of the Gucci purse and the jewelry. The banker at first turned it down because he thought it was too much but my friend insisted that the banker had always done him right and that he wanted to thank him for all the great years of service. The banker (with his wife's nudging) finally accepted the gift and his wife was one happy lady.
About a month later, my friend approached the banker very subtly for a business improvement loan. The banker did not even hesitate. He told my buddy to fill out the application and the money was his.
This very ploy has worked for me over and over again in the last two years. I have not had one bit of trouble getting "things" that I need in a timely manner.
I still sell this merchandise on Ebay so I never lose money on it but the best part is all the "favors" I get from just giving it away at strategic times.

Present Day
Life Is Good
I've discovered that in order to get the things you want in life, you've actually got to give something in return.
If the gift you give first is perceived as being worth much more than what you paid for it in the first place, you're way ahead of the game. And that's exactly what it is...a game.
So, while a bunch of folks use wholesale merchandise just to make themselves a lot of money by selling it for a profit, I've discovered that I can get more out of life by giving away stuff than by selling it all.
For instance, if I know I want a specific car, I make my best deal. I get the salesman down to the lowest price I can possibly get (or so he says) and then I simply ask him, "what would a brand new pair of Versace shoes do for me? Would the price come down any further? What if I threw in a nice Mark Jacobs bag or designer shoes for your wife? Would that get the price down any more?" If he says no, I leave and move on to the next dealer. Eventually, I'm going to get my price and the perceived value of my merchandise is way more than what I paid for it.
I've had a couple of dealer say to me, 'How do I know that your stuff is genuine?" I tell him to have it checked out by an expert. He did and i got another $1100 knocked off of my Mercury MKX.
My method works kind of like this: I may buy three particular items for wholesale, for instance three Fendi handbags that are priced at $199 each wholesale. I then sell two of them on Ebay for around $420 each. So I make about $220 each on them for a total of $440 profit. I then give away the last one to a "good cause." That costs me $199. So, to round off, let's just say the three purses cost me $200 each, total of $600. I recover $440 of that cost and give away $200. Have I really "lost" anything? Not if I use my strategy and give the extra purse away to someone who appreciate it (and I know they will). I've actually gained a lot more than any $200.
This has been proven to me over and over again. This works.
It works for strategic friendships, companionship, business deals and business in general.
I gave my physician two different items, both designer items. One a Ralph Lauren dress shirt, the other a pair of Versace sunglasses. That was over a year ago. I won't tell you what I paid for them but my doctor's "perceived" value was way more than that, I guarantee it. How do I know? He hasn't charged me for an office visit since and, if I'm right, he probably won't ever charge me for an office visit again, especially if I show up with some designer object for him or his lovely wife one or so a year. I costs me much less than the office visits would. He also gives me all my meds as "samples" that he gets for free. So, if I need medication, I just call him up and he says to come by and pick up a supply this afternoon.
I could go on and on with examples but I think you get the idea, right?
Oh, and as you've probably noticed. This merchandise is NOT just handbags and purses. It's clothing, accessories, shoes and all kinds of stuff. I get it cheap, cheap, cheap.

What's The Catch?
How much?
No catch. Very few people use wholesale source lists this way. Almost everyone is intent on getting their merchandise as cheaply as possible and selling it for as much as they can get.
That's fine...for them. They'll have a nice pot of cash to play with and PAY TAXES ON!!
I can make some cash too, but a lot of my perks come from TAX FREE favors and special actions that are not taxable anyway.
I get access to country clubs, vacation spots, vehicles, all kinds of stuff that I use all the time but I don't pay for any of it, not really. I don't lose money on it. I make my money by working and selling some Ebay merchandise but the most important stuff comes free for me and my family.
The people whom I give gifts away to are appreciative and they offer me stuff without my even having to ask for it many times.
This works extremely well.
So, here it is...
Here's what I suggest IF you want to try it yourself.
Here's where you can find the "Sources" for really inexpensive wholesale designer merchandise. I would never have found it if my buddy's buddy hadn't told me about it. Keep it under your hat or too many people will get wind of this and we're all screwed, ok?
Use it only for your own benefit. Don't go telling everybody you know or this will get out of hand.
Go to the following URL:
Designer Wholesale Page
When you get there, go all the way to the very bottom of the page. Look in the footer. On the far right will be a very small link that says, "Real Wholesale Sources."
Click on that link.
Good luck.
