1. Find Sources Online
Your first step to effective article writing is to do research on the Internet on the topic in question. Remember, you must avoid plagiarizm at all costs, so never rephrase or directly copy information from another site into your article. What I suggest you do is find 3-4 sources on the topic you are writing about and read them. Then close the site and try to write down everything that you remember. Finally, rewrite your notes into coherent paragraph and voila, that's your research done! Repeat this trick as many times as necessary to write enough content.
2. Choose a Topic
The second step in writing a good article involves finding a good topic that you know people are interested in. One way to do it is to use a free service such as NicheBot Classic to see what people are looking for online. Then write your topic around the keyphrases that people are looking for, and you will have content that is no only interesting, but is actually relevant to what people are searching for!
3. Follow Proper Article Structure.
Every good article has the same structure - 1 paragraph of introduction (where the problem is introduced), 2-5 paragraphs of text (when the solution is proposed and 1 final paragraph of conclusion (where you essentially tell your readers what you've told them in your article).
4. Optimise Your Article for Google
If you want people to find your article by doing a Google search, then it must be optimised accordingly. The keyphrase that people will be Googling for must account for no more than 2%-5% of your total text (otherwise Google will dismiss your work as keyword spam). 5. Link to Your Site
If you are submitting your article to directories such as EzineArticles, be sure to write a compelling biography box with a link to your site. Make sure that readers understand why visiting your site - in addition to reading your article - will add more value to their research on the topic.
