'The BIG Dance'
Hey guys, I just wanted to invite you here to show you an inside look on how we came up with the 'Big Dance'. It was so much fun to do that I thought that I'd share it with the world. I hope that you all will enjoy my special day just as much as I did. It sure was a memorable one that's for sure.
The thought process
entertaining ideas
Once we were finally all together about a month before the big day we started the brainstorming process. I wasn't too worried because I have a cheerleader and a show choir-ess to go off of. We let them do their thing and they started moving around. I and Miss MOH thought it would be funny to have a surprise ending, but it had to be inconspicuous and thus smith-butts were born. Another bridesmaid just happened to be a seamstress so that worked out very nicely. So, now that we had the ending we had to work on the rest of the dance. It took us a few hours a lot of breaks and plenty of tweaks but we finally had it! We had it, but we needed practice and since everyone was so busy it just never happened and I just assumed it was off. That was until it was the night before and we still hadn't practiced since that day. But the shorts were made and it was still going to happen so we practiced again tweaked it some more and this is what you see in the video.The best part was that NO ONE knew about the dance so it was a total surprise for everyone including the groomsmen!

- I'm getting married myself next month and I'm well impressed with your dance routine! However I've got two left feet and no sense of rhythm so the best I'm going to manage is a shuffle round the dance floor with my OH! Have a Squid Angel Blessing on me :)

We ended up picking this song first and foremost because when that commercial for target came out my Aunt called me and made be watch it because it reminded her of me. Mostly just in the fact that I am a weird dancer, not that I can dance that good because let's face it I'm really not. I really wanted to do a surprise dance with my fiancé but since he was at basic training for the Army this wasn't going to happen so I decided to do it with my b-maids. I asked the DJ to play the music loud so that it would draw a little attention to the stage, my husband having no idea what was going on was getting flustered that the music was so obnoxiously loud. He stood up making his way to the DJ when he realized that all the ladies had stood up to dance, and sat back down. Even after we had finished our dance the guys still didn't realize that we had a 'surprise' ending, so I had the ladies go in front of our table and moon the guys and show off their shorts.
