Identifying Lies
Learn how to identify certain words that are used when someone is be untruthful with you. Great learning tool for parents,employers,teachers,law enforcment. The human brain will respond with behavors. Learn what they are and what they mean.
Identifying Lies !!!
Most humans even a criminal find it difficult to tell a lie. The human body leaks body laugauge. It is inportant to learn what the human body will do when telling a lie. When you can tune in to these clues, then you will know when to ask more questions.Lets start with words and phrases that you should watch for---"That's about all I know"---That's about all I can tell you"---"That's about it"---"There's not much more to tell/say"---"I guess that"s about it"---"As far as I know"---"That's about the gist of it" phrases like these are actual admissions, they are telling you there is more to the story. Here is an exaple If next time someone says at the end of a sentance, "That's about it," ask "Tell me the rest" If they reply with"No, thats it," Then confront them with what they said to you repeat "That's ABOUT it?" You want to increases the stress, when they are under stress this will cause them to leak more body language that may warrant futher qustioning. Note: only if they are being untruthful. Here are some things to look for in untruthful/truthful people.
TRUTHFUL: Sincere,Cordial,Cooperative,Calm,Relaxed
UNTRUTHFUL: Tense,Impatient,Defensive,Overly friendly,Over Concerned
These are attitudes that are usaly displayed by suspects. When confronted there story gets weaker with time.
ATTITUDES THAT ARE COMMON TO BOTH:
Angry---Nervous---Quiet
TRUTHFUL: They have good body posture and appear comfortable and relaxed with normal breathing,Hands are warm and dry,movement of body/body parts are relaxed. Feet are flat on the floor or crossed. Good eye contact,relaxed jaw, nods lightly.Answers promptly, able to recount story with minor changes.
UNTRUTHFUL:Body leans forward or backward excessively, tend to slump shoulders and or scratchs body,rapid heart beat. and or excessive perspiration, closed arms. may also have loss of fine motor skills,cover mouth or eyes,holds there head, May have legs crossed, feet are not planted on the floor. taps or move there feet alot, hostile, rapid eye movement,closed eyes, tears or poor eye contact, bites lips, clears thrat, phony smiles, smirks,yawns,or swallows,itch's nose or flared nostrils and or rubing,picking and itching nose.
Body Language: Eyes- Always watch the eyes nomatter what their are saying.
Eyebrows- If one eyebrow is lifted, they are hearing something they they belive is either impossible or something they dont belive.
Nose/Ears- If they tug or pull on thier ear or rub their nose, and saying to the investigator That they understand but usally means that they dont know what the Investigator wants them to do.
Forehead- If during the interview the interviewees wrinkle their forehead this means they are

- Very good, I will at it to my P.I. library. I am looking at teaching (And charging of course) A class on how to become P.I. I plan on having about 20 - 30 different chapters (categories) covering the most important aspects. From legal afidavits, recording laws, reports, camera selection, etc. thx!
