The Way Your Computer Gets A Virus

The constant threat of getting a virus on your computer is very high. When you are checking your emails make sure that you do not open any e-mail that is from an unfamiliar source. You should not open any attachment if you are not expecting one or if it is from an unknown person. Your computer catches a virus in this one manner.

What Is A Virus Anyway? 

A virus is a bug that someone created to cause your PC to have problems or crash. The idea behind a computer virus is to create an at risk system that will continue to pass on the virus through the whole network. Whenever you open up an attachment that is coded with a virus you will not necessarily feel the impact right away sometimes the virus latches on to every document that you have created. When you send a document to others in your network then their systems become infected. In turn, all their documents are infected so when they send out emails everyone they know will become infected. A virus can be a time bomb if the creator so desires. The virus is scheduled to activate itself in about two weeks, which by then a large network of computer uses are infected, and everyone suffers the consequences. Unfortunately, by the time the virus is activated no one knows where it comes from and what type of virus he or she is carrying.

It is a very expensive project to clean up your computer from a virus that it contacted while in process but it is much better to keep a virus protection program on your system at all times. Those of us who constantly use our system and need to contact others on a constant basis find that is better to purchase some of the programs offered to get a more specific anti-virus program. There are programs that not only protect you from receiving a virus but also protect you while you are surfing the web. Surfing the web is another distinct way of contacting a virus. You should be very certain when doing your surfing that you are not going to the website of a hacker. Unfortunately, not all websites are honest but are set up to attract others for the purpose of getting your personal information then shutting your system down while they do online fraud in your name.

You can make yourself very vulnerable when you fill in forms on line on unsecured websites. The address bar should have https:// the (s) means secured website. We know that many things can be accomplished by using the internet, which is really a great thing. The problem is that many things that are fraud also can happen. Make sure that you are cautious when surfing, opening your email, and receiving documentations from others in your network as well as strangers. The use of an anti-virus program is essential!
