Asparagus has great detox effects. They can compliment almost any meal. In this lens I'm going to teach you how to cook asparagus the easy and yummy way! I call it Balsamic Asparagus! This recipe is great for regular asparagus and wild asparagus.
Ingredients for Balsamic Asparagus
- 1 batch Asparagus
- 1 sprinkle of Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 sprinkle of Olive Oil
- 1 pinch of salt
Cooking Asparagus Instructions
Hot tip: If you bend the asparagus they will snap at their natural breaking points.
Bring 1 pot (about 3-4 cups) of water to a roaring boil. Place the asparagus in the boiling water and let sit for about 3-5 min. You'll know the asparagus is cooked because it turns bright green.
Tip (some folks like to plunge the asparagus in ice water to stop it from cooking and they like to eat it cold with the vinegar; your choice)
If you wanted to you could also grill the asparagus.
Adding flavor to the Asparagus
Place the Asparagus on dish and sprinkle some salt (to taste), a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Can someone say yummy to my tummy?
It's even better the next day when the asparagus is cold.
I hope you like it!
