    Hi Melissa,

    above the picture of the blue Retro background are three 'Click Here' links. (the background comes in three colors)

    Click on the link and it launches a window with the background image in. Just do a right click "Save image as" to your desktop...

    Wow, such information overload :) This is a great lens and is exactly what I was looking for. I've been trying to figure out out to customize my youtube channel without messing it up. So your free backgrounds are perfect.

    Ive heard a lot of people buying youtube views and subscribers? Is this a good idea?

    Some really popular youtube channels had used some of these various sites that sell youtube views, before they were popular.

    I might buy youtube views. Going to test it out :)

    Very Interesting! Loved the lens! Changing the background is definitely important for many reasons on YouTube. However, if you delve deeper, peeling away the layers of the onion. The most important thing on youtube is popularity. People are buying subscribers these day at this Traffic generating site

    Hi Kim,

    to save a layout, click the, 'Click Here' links you see above each background. This launches a new page where you can view the background. It's a big jpg or Gif so you just right click with your mouse and select Save Picture As and save it out to a folder on your computer....

    I just - Feb 17th 09 - updated all the free YouTube backgrounds, they are now wider as Youtube just increased the size of the video player...

    I updated all files, they are now all under 256K so you should have no problem using the camo background. Try saving it out again and uploading it.

    Anyone using a free background should resave it out and replace the one they have on YouTube to account for the new width!

    Hi Changes,

    Thanks for pointing out that YouTube has updated the background image function! You can still use my YouTube backgrounds you just have to save them to a folder on your computer first.

    This is easy, just click on the "Click Here" links above, then do a right click with your mouse and select "Save Image As". Then place the background into a folder on your system.

    I have added in some new info to the lens and tested it today with a reader...

    Your above direction to add background image is outdated for the newer sign ups for youtube or is it just me.. but great idea anyways.. i guess browse is the only option left.
