    Who could resist a never fading smile? Yup, we watched the show and the theme song started going through my mind as soon as I saw the lens title and was drawn over to reopen some sweet memories. We always enjoyed seeing Gabby Hays on any show, he was a family favorite.

    Howdy Doody was huge, my mother was actually named after Clarabell the clown... she has always hated that!!

    What a fun lens brings back some good memories...I won my first art contest on Captain Kangaroo show in San Francisco ...a crystal necklace that I still have...what an odd price for a 9 years old

    I hate to admit that I was definitely a member of the peanut gallery watching Buffalo Bill, Howdy Doody, Clarabell and the Clown from home on TV. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

    Gosh, just thinking about Howdy Doody time brings back plenty of old memories and that TUNE! And, of course Doodyville ... but now we have Squidooville!

    Howdy Doody was really way before my time, but I did see it a few times as a kid when it was in reruns. I like old vintage stuff like this and after seeing your lens I am thinking of looking for a DVD so my daughter can watch it.

    I guess I'm really showing my age now but I remember watching Howdy-Doody like it was yesterday. I believe it also was the show that had the peanut gallery (but I could be confusing it with another show). This lens brings back a lot of good ole memories.

    Oh wow. I can still sing the song. I was watching the show when he had a heart attack so they didn't do a real good job of keeping it a secret. Thanks for refreshing some fun memories. 5*
