I Stumbled Onto Squidoo Accidently

Posted 4-13-2012 Got my new Squidoo T-shirt. I have been a member over 4 years and still having fun, making some money and creating some cool lenses. I went Giant awhile back and have over 100 lenses. I hope you will look some of my other creations as well.

**************
I stumbled onto Squidoo similar to the way I stumbled onto Kimberly Dawn's post on Squid Blog, "How Did You Find Out About Squidoo". So, here it goes.

It was by being curious. For years I have loved surfing the Internet and it was through surfing, that I stumbled across this great organization. I remember thinking, "Squidoo, what's that?" No one had told me about it. I was just "out there" searching for something one day. It could have been "Victorian Homes", or "gargoyles", or "?', and "bamb"...there I was. So, I looked around, checked out some lenses, checked out the lensmasters, and checked out the organization. I went back out on the Internet and search some more. Once I was assured that this crazy named organization called SQUIDOO, with its one eye orange squid mascot wasn't some crazy scam, or weird groupie place, I decided to take a leap of faith and give it a go.

Well, Who could have known that Squidoo was perfect for me. I had it all right here. I could develop my own lenses for my benefit or to entertain others. And when I found out they were donating a large portion of their revenue to charity, wow, I thought it can't get better than this. Boy, was I wrong. I found out they even pay you to do this. And, you get this neat title of lenscrafter.

Well, I tripped and came up feeling great! And on top of it, I have learned to love that cute, orange, squid!

They say you must learn to crawl before you can walk among the giants, and so I did.

Baby_crawling I crawled around, got into things and had FUN!

Others squids said that I could learn more and that there was even a "hand book". So I looked around the place and came up with one. I also found out that I could attend
Squid U and learn from other lensmasters and maybe even help newbies (new learning baby squids).

Squidoo Basics

Then I got an invite one day, asking if I would like to try out for Giant. I wasn't sure what that meant, but I looked around. I saw other lensmasters who had this great purple "seal" with Giant on it. It looked super, so, I said to myself, sure, I will give it a go! Going Giant meant I would try for 50 lenses completed.

So now I have progressed from baby squid to Giant squid but there is even more. They even have a place for Seniors. Thanks right, I am officially a Senior Squid. They say we become Seniors when we are more mature, wise, distinguished as well as old! Wow, that's me.

So, I have fallen in love with Squidoo and just maybe some day I will make some dough!

One day I was looking at what someone wrote about things that you can do on the internet, and one of the things was put up a Squidoo lens. From the way I saw it, it didn't sound like a web site. So I had to see what it was about and then I joined up.

I can't remember exactly how I found Squidoo. I think I may have seen a comment that someone had made on a message board and decided to check it out. It's always interesting to learn about how others made their way here.

    Thanks Susan714,

I love to hear how people discover things and how they share. Squidoo has been a wonderful source for me to develop my own personal talents as well as "open up" as I have always been shy. I hope others will stumble onto Squidoo as well.

I stumbled onto Squidoo when I was searching for something in Google and clicked on a lenses. Since the lenses was at the top of Google I figured it was something I should look into. I didn't look long before joining up and the rest is history. :-) Gave you a thumbs up.
