Any Words of Advice?

From the lens How Not To Worry... .

Very good advice. I try to listen to my meditation tapes almost everyday but especially if something upsetting has occurred.

Some great advice here, my philosophy changed about 12 years ago, there is no point worrying, what will happen will happen and you deal with it in the best way you can. Life is far too short and precious to waste.

As an adult and a mom I do tend to worry alot but I try to meditate and do yoga to help me relax and it does help. Thank you for sharing this

The song "Don't worry, be happy" was going through my mind the entire time reading your page! Thanks for all the cool advice to help the worry-ers of the world. : )

A great lens with a very important message. We all do worry too much, at least I do. It's a life long habit, if i wasn't worried . . . I'd be worried :0) 5 stars.

My father in law who is very bright always said of me, "if you are not worrying, you are not happy". I think he's right and it's a very sad indictment. Great lens, keep it up

Better to take whatever action you can and then forget about worrying! Nice lens.

This is a solid 5-star lens, Winter. I loved to see Bobby McFerrin again and Leo Buscaglia is truly a wise guy. :-) I read some of his books, years ago.

I only worry when I've run out of things to worry about. Hmmm. That's bad isn't it? D'oh!

I have been a worrier since I was a small child so I identify with your lens very much. It's only now that I am starting to have real control over my worrying thoughts. I think you need to try out various techniques to get over worrying unnecessarily and practice them. One good tip is when you start worrying uncontrollably do something that involves concentrating hard on something else such as writing a new lens or reading a good book. I've found it's really hard to worry about a problem and focus on another task at the same time.

I try not to worry, but in truth, I worry. I just hide it well. I worry about my lens rankings, but that's a positive worry. It pushes me to do the best I can.

I worry about my children, though they are adults now. I keep my mouth shut. I trust them to run their own lives and ask for help when they need it.

Now my students, I worry about a lot of them. Not every child has the guidance they need. I pray every morning before the school day starts. I offer a helping hand when I can and count on God to watch over them.
    5 stars

Excellent job! Some of the readers of this lens might also enjoy: Ritual to Overcome Depression Using Essential Oils which offers some suggestions about how to deal with stress as well. 4 out of 5 stars - very good.

Thanks for your kind words... I will continue to do the best I can with this lens. I have wasted so much time worrying throughout my life and if I can help someone else overcome it, well, that's all that really matters. Thanks again.

Well, you certainly didn't deserve two stars: you explain your topic very well - though perhaps I'm biased: that story of you worrying about getting a two star rating is very good: it helps understand the issue immediately.

In this case though there's another way to get over it. two stars officially means: jury is out. So maybe someone really did mean just that: interesting enough to vote on, but needs some more work - jury is out.

Word of advice? I don't know what might be said. The big problem seems to be how to 'snap out of it'. Once you are conscious of the problem you can go about fixing it - through affirmations, distractions or whatever. But that first step is probably hard: how to become conscious of the worrying as an issue, instead of it just being there.

    Anyhow - great lens, *****
