So You Want to Be a Ghost Hunter

Becoming a Ghost Hunter

You've decided that you want to be a ghost hunter, but you aren't quite sure how to start. Maybe you've had a few paranormal experiences, or you know others who have, and you are anxious to get out there and document some evidence. Those are some pretty good reasons. Maybe you want to provide proof that ghosts exist. You are getting warmer. Maybe you even have a desire to help others in their search for answers. Now your talking.

Becoming a ghost hunter takes time, enormous amounts of time. It means long hours in the dead of night looking for ghosts that may never appear. It means time away from family and friends and erratic schedules.

Becoming a ghost hunter means tremendous commitment to what you do. Like anything worth doing, starting a ghost hunter business requires a strong desire and a commitment to learning. Without it your business is doomed to fail.

If you are willing to give of your own time with no expectation of monetary rewards and are committed to serving others while you pursue your interest, then perhaps ghost hunting is right for you.

Five Essential Pieces of Equipment for Paranormal Investigations

As a paranormal investigator, you are only as good as your equipment. Although personal experiences can be exciting, what you see or feel simply does not provide evidence of the paranormal. To satisfy the client and appease the skeptic, you must collect verifiable evidence. To do that you will need reliable investigative equipment to capture and record paranormal activity. The equipment you choose depends in part on your financial ability to invest, but there are five essential pieces of equipment every paranormal investigator simply must have.

Training

How to Become a Paranormal Investigator

Although there is no specific training or certificate required to legally call yourself a paranormal investigator, to be seen as a professional you do need to obtain some basic training. Whether the training is in the form of formal classes offered through accredited universities, or consists of on-the-job training working with an experienced investigator is a matter of personal choice. An interest in the paranormal is rarely enough to earn you a position as a paranormal investigator.

Hey all I have a paranormal ghost hunting group i started in march. I am looking to get some more team members. There is just so much to do. Alot of it can be done remotely, processing EVP's and going over video, location research ect. I plan to be able to do live web cast investigations. If your locale i would like you to join us on an investigation. I have an investigation at a private residence tomorrow Saturday night. The web page is alternaterealityinvestigation.com. From there you can find the forum (MODS needed), and the face book page, the twitter and the open chat. Please sign my guest book.

I have been into ghost and spirits since I could remember. I've been on so many websites looking for ways to become part of a paranormal team, but I can't seem to find any.Can anyone help?

Why don't you start by looking for existing groups in your area. Contact them and give them your background to see if they are interested in adding new members. If not, perhaps one will invite you to join them on an investigation. You could also run an ad in your local paper to find others with similar interests. Who knows, maybe you can start your own group.
