Sure, we don't need a mentor to help us develop our psychic skills. With time, anyone can awaken their psychic abilities. But the right teacher can save you time and frustration. Many of the people that we interact with on a daily basis cannot or do not want to understand what we are doing. Because of this, a good psychic teacher can help us feel that we are not alone.

There are many ways to seek out a psychic teacher. There are online courses and courses offline that you can choose to take. Some offer personal coaching.

How do you decide what the best path is? Well, it's important that you use your intuition. Find someone that you can relate to. Developing psychic skills can be a very personal thing, so you want to feel comfortable with the person, even if you never meet them in real life.

Read articles, blog post, and books by the person to see if you have a similar set of beliefs. If you want to communicate with the spirit realm, don't choose someone who focuses on reading auras.

One last thing--ask the person question. Don't email a million questions, but one or two questions will show you how the person responds.
