Let's face it. We get really excited to learn that we are powerful creators of our own destiny or life. After the excitement wears off and we've been practicing what we've learned things seem to reach a stand still.

What happened?

It's the dreaded limiting beliefs we hold!

Some of us have years upon years worth of old programming and beliefs. These bubble up when we least expect it and can trip us up. You can release your limiting beliefs.

Tip 1
Accept what you are feeling and the accompanying belief without judgment or trying to change it. Congratulations! This is you becoming the observer of you. This creates a space between you and that belief. You are not that belief. It is a thought that you have decided is a truth in your life.

Tip 2
Use a process that feels good and will ease the constriction you may be feeling internally. Your feelings will let you know exactly where your focus is. When you think about a subject do you feel good or does your tummy decide to perform acrobatics?

There are many, many tools to use when releasing limiting beliefs. In this lens you'll find a few to help you.

You may find repetition is important with this method. It's not unusual to repeat it several times on a particular limiting belief. However, the more releasing that's done, the calmer you feel in the moment. And that is the most important factor in releasing limiting beliefs, staying in the moment within the eye of the illusionary storm.

How To Change Limiting Beliefs with EFT 

Emotional Freedom Technique

Gary Craig developed Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) in the mid 1990's. Based upon acupuncture (a traditional Chinese medicine) EFT taps on acupressure points to release blockages in the body's energy field. This technique has helped many release fears, anxiety, weight issues, and limiting beliefs.

Your fingertips will tap on key power points on the body. While tapping, you state a belief about how feel along with a positive affirmation. The chart pictured shows you the points to tap on.

Tapping starts on the karate chop point. For this point, use the four fingers of the right hand to tap the outside of the left hand. The pressure of tapping is equivalent to drumming your fingers on a table. For those with longer fingernails, be sure you use the pads of your fingers.

The next point to tap is the eyebrow and working down the body back to the top of the head like this: eyebrow, side of eye, under eye, under nose, chin, collarbone, underarm, head. Some prefer to start with the top of the head. Use what works easiest for you.

There are many practitioners of EFT and it's important to find the one that best suits you.

    This is quite an inspirational lens - I'm familiar with all of the authors you've spotlighted, and I actually got to meet Joe Vitale last year. Hands down, though, my favorite is Mike Dooley. I got his 10 tape course some years back (before CDs were being sold, LOL) and practically wore out the tapes listening. I love the story of how he looked up one day and realized he was seeing the exact view he'd been looking at on his poster. Talk about a testimony for the power of attention and attraction, that one still gets me.

    You've done a nice job here - I hope to see many more wonderful lenses from you in the future!
