Gardening Tip
How to tell the difference between the real plant that you want to grow, and the weeds.
When the plants start to appear in your well prepared and planted areas, just pull out everything. The weeds are the ones that grow back.
And it turns out that it works, but obviously not to the advantage of the gardener.
This is more of a How-NOT-To-Do, than a How-To do. But, the story does add a little humor to the day.
Hopscotch
How to play the basic game of Hopscotch
A Playground GameUsing a stick on dirt or chalk on pavement or sidewalk, scratch a numbered hopscotch pattern of nine compartments (See diagram)on a 10 to 15 foot length.
Stand in front of space 1, toss a stone into it. Hop on one foot, pick up the stone, thin hop back to the starting point. Then stoss the stone into space 2, hop into space 1 then space 2, retrieve the stone and hop back to the starting point. Continue this pattern until you reach space 9, from there hop back, one space at a time to space 1.
You lose your turn to your playmate if the stone does not land in the proper square, if you put both feet down, or if your stone or foot land on a line.
After your playmate's turn, pick up where you left off. The first player to make a round-trip wins.
There are many variations of Hopscotch, but this is the basic game.
So You Want To Be A Star
So, You Want To Be A StarMany people who have something to say, but they may not have a venue with which to get their message out.
They may be budding, or accomplished speakers, or perhaps they are amateurs with the will to communicate a message that they feel strongly about.
Do you feel passionate about something that has the potential to help your part of the world, or even the whole wide world, if only you could let people know?
Have you ever dreamed, even briefly, of being a talk show host with an audience of truly unlimited capacity? Of having the opportunity to speak on your subject without fear of someone cutting out the most important part of the message. Do you have a passion to get your message heard in a way that will do the most good? Then perhaps you should be a podcaster.
A "podcaster" is a person with a message, who creates a program which can be posted to a website as a "click and play" audio file. Then anyone in the world who has access to the internet may either click-and-listen to the program, or they may download the program to their iPod, computer, or other mp3 format player.
Sounds easy enough, right?
