How To Draw Fantasy Art

The drawing of fantasy art is something that I myself have been interested in for years, I first started drawing fantasy creatures and monsters as a young child as I was fascinated by them and the processes of drawing them I became obsessed with.

And I always thought I could draw almost anything fantasy related and so a project has emerged and it is one that I am slowly building up online through hubpages and it is a massive article project that already has a few useful tutorials in the area of drawing fantasy art creatures and other fantasy world elements.

So here is the beginning of that how to draw article list with an explanation of each one, to give you an idea of where I am up to so far.

Drawing Classic Fantasy Castles

How To Draw A Demon

This was the first in my project, call it the beginning of my journey as it has begun a string of content that I enjoy writing and drawing and it has also woken me up to the idea that drawing comic books and other related media is certainly going to be one of my future goals this year and the next.

With the demon drawing tutorial, I went through the baiscs of drawing a demons head and then the body of the demon with easy step by step examples and notes to guide you along.

How To Draw A Witch

To draw a witch is great and creating a classic witch is even better as that is what is more memorable to me, a black witch, with hat and a black gown and a hook nose.

I was happy with this tutorial as the classic witch design was just something straight out of one of my oldest favourite fantasy musicals The Wizard Of Oz, but I do see these tutorials with a view to updating them further with multiple examples of drawings and a variety of information too for inspiration and creating initial ideas and concepts.

How To Draw An Ugly Troll

Another favourite of mine, although the troll didn't turn out that ugly, it did look like a good design in the end and the trolls muscle and form just seemed to make the drawing look bold and strong. Again I would like to do a few more variations on the different styles of rolls that could exist in a fantasy world.

How To Draw A Flaming Skull

Skulls are just ace to draw, whatever they look like, they are easily identifyable as that icon of death, but the flaming skull is more tattoo related in the style elements and just more quicker to draw with the swirling flame aound the screaming skull image. I'll add a few colour skull versions a bit later down the line.

The grim reapers are the angels of death and as such you can learn to draw a reaper here with the scythe and cloked or robe figure.

Goblins are a classic fantasy race from many stories and other artists interpretations and so here we learn how to draw a simplistic version of a goblin, although my own thoughts of simplistic are not, you may be inspired by this goblin drawing.

A drawing tutorial article that shows you how to draw a robot, now the robot is more humanoid shape, so I may do another one which identifies itself as a proper robot with a more clunky design...watch for that soon!
